The price of Sea of Thieves should be dropped to $ 40 USD.
The download size of all three games included in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Xbox One) was revealed to be 36.32 GB (PS4 version is likely a similar size). 36.32 is less than the amount of storage offered by a standard blu-ray, therefore, there was no reason for all three games not to be on disc.
Let me guess Activision has decided to reprint the discs with all three games on disc instead of one.
The PS4 and Xbox One should be able to handle Quake Champions at 60 fps. My only concern for Quake Champions on console is weapon switching via controller. When playing old school arena shooters players must be able to switch between several weapons on the fly with no delay.
Reason why I think pre-orders are low for BFV
1. Terrible reveal (SJW undertones, goofy trailer, etc) & very sour fan reception of the gane’s trailer.
2. Poor presentation of the game post reveal, BF V E3 presence was marginal.
3. Battlefield 1 was somewhat divisive. I personally think BF1 was overrated, to me it lacked content and depth.
4. EA’s long history of anti-consumer practices
5. The most controversial game of last year Battle...
Microsoft doesn’t own the Ninja Gaiden IP.
The consent of IP holders appears to be needed for Microsoft to make games backwards compatible.
An HD collection should now hopefully be in the works.
Cross-play is most beneficial to smaller games and games with smaller user bases. Big games like Fallout 76 likely will have large player bases on all its respective platforms. A hypothetical console release of Quake Champions however would likely benefit very significantly from cross-play as arena shooters don't hold large players when compared to more casual shooters. Cross-play can be seen as benefical and user friendly. However, cross-play likely doesn't have as big of an impact...
"Target" means that the game likely won't run at a stable 30 fps. The XB1 and PS4 version of Doom targeted 60 fps and spend most of their play time at 50-60 frames per second.
There are references to the events of the older games in Doom (2016). Also Quake Champions confirmed that the Doom Slayer is the original Doom Guy and a descendent of B.J Blazkowicz . The IDuniverse has multiple timelines and includes Doom,Wolfenstein and Quake.
According to the Doom Slayer article on doom.wikia the current timeline is Doom, Doom 2/Final, Doom 64, Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal.
I am personally leaning towards The Imitative developing an action-adventure game.
The multiplayer of Doom (2016) died fast as it had very poor player retention. However,Doom (2016) sold well overall.
I disagree, Rare has basically proven themselves to be an inefficient studio.
New enemies, new weapons, new upgrades, new engine and improved visuals, Doom Eternal looks like a sequel to me.
I have a suspicion that a lot of the "Bungie-purists" are just band-wagoners who didn't really grow up playing Halo. They claim to be classic-Halo fans, yet they themselves are less than 20 years old.
The key to successfully implement power weapons is to place them in an area that is readily contested, thus leading to risk vs reward mechanics.
Randomized power weapon spawns can work, but it could marginalize map control. Also arena shooters should have some predictability, as randomness can be used to promote skill gap compression.
No game, game genre or game mode is for everyone.
