Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy are bigger Japanese franchises than Drakengard (and the Nier sub-series), both Final Fantasy XV and Monster Hunter World sold well on Xbox One.
Outside of the cutscenes not much was invested into the campaign of Battlefield 1, the AI was terrible, missions were often recycled from conquest maps and many levels felt like tutorials. I fully expect BF V’s campaign to have the same corner cuttings as BF1 and Battlefront 2’s. The presence of a single player campaign in Battlefield V is not something EA should be praised for.
If the game was still PS4 and PC only he would be praising Hellblade's sales.
I really disagree with this list, but that's just my opinion.
BF V is adding battle royale due to how trendy it is. The battle royale landscape is dominated by Fornite and PUBG and other publishers want there own big chunk of the battle royale pie.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is sequel I was thought I was hopeless waiting for (much like Conker 2). Now that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is actually happening my interest in the game continues to wane. Firstly, its not a sequel. Secondly, I don't like (or think) Beyond Good and Evil 2's current direction is right for series. Lastly, I feel like Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced way too early.
vanquish is one of the greatest shooters of all time and very underrated in my opinion. However, unlike the author I never found the game to be too difficult even on hard minus the final boss.
Not shocking as Light and Ryuk aren't fighters, they're manipulators.
I am excited to see what MS’s the new studios will produce in the few years. I predict Ninja Theory could announce a title next year as they made Hellblade in 2 years and may have started on another project after its release. As for the other studios will likely have to wait longer to see what they produce.
I think we might get a good mix of old and new IPs due to the Fable and Perfect Dark rumours. My confidence in the return of old IPs is heightened by the fact that Batt...
I’m just speculating that the studio will be more single-player focused due to who was appointed as the studio-head. Also, there are indications that MS’s newly acquired (and created) studios have more creative freedom than 343i, Turn 10 and The Coalition.
I prefer my mp-focused games to have single-player and I do play many games without multiplayer. I am very curious as to what The Initiative will make as the studio was described (maybe exaggerated) by MS as b being AAAA...
Will The Initiative build single-player focused games? Darrell Gallagher worked on and lead development of the newer Tomb Raider games, which were single-player only/ single-player focused.
Rare Replay sold better than expected ( https://www.gamespot.com/ar... I am very confident it had a high digital attachment due to its low price.
I saw a rumour of Sumo Digital developing Perfect Dark. I personally don’t think sumo digital is the right dev for a Perfect Dark game, as they’re already struggling with Crackdown 3.
Vgchartz has been proven to be very inaccurate if not fraudulent at times. Vgchartz often doesn’t even update their sales charts when official numbers are released and the site lacks digital tracking also.
I sometimes think comparisons are drawn between Gears of War and God of War due to the franchises having similar names...
I was disappointed that no Perfect Dark was at E3 this years despite all the rumours. However, the game’s absence doesn’t entirely rule-out a reboot not existing, maybe a new Perfect Dark just wasn’t ready to be shown. If the Coalition is in fact assisting on a Perfect Dark game, I am the studio would do a good job from a technical level.
Yes everyone wants significantly lower framerates, decreased resolution, reduced graphics and effects and often higher prices....
The ending of Gears of War 4 strongly implied that Kait would have an increased presence in the next game's story. Gears has bad multiple playable characters before in single-player (ignoring co-op), so maybe JD or Marcus may take the lead at times.
The game is free, and Fortnite is already popular on PS4, Xbox One, PC and mobile, therefore it was primed for success on Switch.
There are far more PS4s than XB1s so what is your point?
