The game awards is a joke, their categories for nomination change every year. This year sound design and music where one category. As good as Doom's music is, there is no way it has better overall better sound design than BF1.
The female character maybe reusing animations originally done for the male, which is why things look weird.
Battlefront (2015) mainly did well by selling off of the hype of Force Awakens,. EA even admitted a single player campaign was cut to launch close to the film.

I played hundreds of hours of Halo 5. It is great arena shooter. Right now Halo 5 has the most balanced deathmatch on consoles. I'm currently Diamond League in both team deathmatch and free for all, the highest rank I've reached was ONYX in Free for all and Swat. I still want a old school arena shooter though. Halo 5 (and the rest of series) is more of a new wave arena shooter and not a traditional one.
I haven't played Overwatch enough to get a strong grasp of all the ultimates,I only played when it was free recently. However, I did get a bunch of easy kills using soldier 76's (I character I found too easy to play as) ultimate. Quake was shooter of true skill, modern day COD mp is built around skill gap compression, randomness and DLC.
I really wish the thoroughbred old school competitive arena shooters would have a resurgence. Doom (2016) had so much potential to do this, but the co-developer instead chose to mix and match various old and modern aspects to make a gimmicky (albeit fun in small dosages) mp. I've seen 6 years olds play GTA V, either the parents are uninformed, or some simply don't care. I think many parents just don't care aslong as the game being played entertains their kids.
I think the artstyles are similar, especially Mass Effect 1 and Halo 1-3. Both series became less colourful overtime, but I still see some simularities in art design.
The two series have very similar aesthetics. If a Halo RPG was ever made, Mass Effect would be good template to take influence from.

I really like Bioshock Infinite, it's my favorite of the series. One of my major gripes with the game, was the fact that you could carry only two weapons, despite a gun upgrade system being present.
I found the game to be alright, but didn't find the game exciting. Gun play was too easy for my liking, and not enough people on my friend list play the title.
I played Overwatch while it was free last weekend, it's a fun and refreshing game. The game is competitive and well balanced, but I prefer Gear and Halo for competitive FPS on console. Also the combat in Overwatch (to me at least) is much easier than Halo 5 and Gears 4. Also,I don't think Overwatch should of never been a full priced release.

I personally like Tomb Raider (2013) more than Uncharted 1 and 3. I also perfer rise of the Tomb Raider over Uncharted 1,3 and 4.
Neither the Pro or Scorpio have enough power for a big leap in graphics due to diminishing returns.
I think Call of Duty will have a big decline this year. It will still sell a ton, but it will be much lower than the previous game. If the sales drop enough, the decline might scare Activision into getting rid of the yearly release cycle. It took a major sales decline to stop annual releases of Assassin Creed, so maybe COD will be next.

Overwatch's combat is pretty dull, and can't bring myself to buy the game. Overwatch keeps getting a lot of free passes. Other games get ripped for having no single player and/ or MTs at full price, yet Overwatch gets a pass.....
