I’ m disappointed too. There rumours electric square was developing either a racing game or a platformer for MS. Xbox/Microsoft doesn’t need another racing game, the fanbase has been asking for the return of old platforming franchise. However, Phil Spencer seems to pefer to approve cheap low budget games and hardware.
The female soldier is just in the trailer for pandering. Russia was the country with a prominent presence of front line female infantry not the UK. Dice tired to market BF1 as following the story of an African American soldier in WW1, they even put him on the game’s cover, yet his role in the game is very minor. DICE. I personally take issue with the amount of pandering for the sake of diversity going on in media.
I expect BF V to be just as historically inaccurate and ca...
In Rise of The Tomb Raider I found you could sneak past much of the enemies.
It’s obvious BF V will have better graphics than Blops 4. However, I don’t recall any true gameplay odd BF V being shown. Battlefield 1and Battlefront 2 are arguably the best looking first person shooters on consoles, I fully expect BF V to look comparable to Dice’s other recent titles. Blops 4 looks somewhat “clayey” like it’s predecessor.
I somewhat agree with you, the PS1 and N64 were transitional 3D consoles. The N64 being more powerful than PS1 handled 3D graphics better yet had a worse controller for 3D gameplay. I personally think Banjo Kazooie/Tooie when played on 360/XB1 aged well despite the camera which was easier fight due to duel analog controls.
“Shadows die Twice” was also not revealed by Sony, the owners of the Bloodborne IP.
A beta that is launched a few months to even days before a game releases.
Pre-rendered trailer that is meant to woo people and hide the actual gameplay. Dice hid the campaign design and true singleplayer gameplay of Battlefield 1 during its reveal, and they doing the same with BFV. I also expect a fake beta for BF V in the fall as EA seems to love falsely promoting their demos. I don't have much optimism for BF V.
This game did not need development confirmation.
Why would Gears be 3rd part my developed ?
Of course EA is going to ditch Battlefront 2, the game underperformed and the planned micro-transaction scheme failed. EA would rather have Dice (and the co-developers) focus on other games, with the main developer focusing on Battlefield V.
Removing the campaign is cost cutting simple as that. Call of Duty already cuts corners by recycling assets and using the same engine over-and-over.
Halo already has Halo Wars and the Spartan Assault & Strike games. Halo Wars 2 appears to have not performed well. Also, Spartan Assault and Strike were not well received. 343i should be as invested into Halo 6 as much as possible and potentially do none Halo projects in the future. The Coalition should just focus and Gears of War 5 to make the game as good as possible. The Coalition should also have creative freedom to do known Gears projects such as the rumored Perfect Dark reboot. ...
Really? I really wanted Ori 2 to come out this year.
Things I think are obvious
-Halo 6- Fall 2019 Release
-Ori 2- Summer to Early Fall 2018
-Forza Horizon 4- Fall 2018
-Crackdown 3- Summer 2018
-Battlefield V marketing Deal
Hoping for based on leak from earlier this year
-Perfect Dark Reboot for early 2019
-Mechassault (or other Battletech game) for Mid 2019
Hoping for with no real evidence
Age of Empires V for Xbox One (with ke...
Yes I do believe P* is a talented and capable dev when they don't stretch themselves too thin. I have always been suspicious of Scalebound development as the game started development in 2013 yet seemed to make less progress than P* other titles. From 2013- 2017, P* finished Bayonetta 2 (2014), The Legend of Korra (2014), Transformers Devastation ( 2015), Star Fox Zero/ Guard(2015), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan (2016) and Nier Automata (2017). Of the games that were ...
It would be interesting if MS outsourced or a got a first party dev to polish and finish Scalebound. However, I find the resurrection of Scalebound to be highly unlikely.
Actually, Microsoft has allowed Rare a lot of creative of created freedom. ( http://www.purexbox.com/new... If anything MS should have more strictly regulated the studio. Rare started up numerous projects with making valuable progress on them. For example when Rare presented Perfect Dark Core to MS after working on the title for a year, only one level was completed ...
CliffyB wanted to make Lawbreakers into a " Billion Dollar Franchise".
All MS needs to do is announce and show 2 quality non-Halo, Gears or Forza AAA titles. This would show MS as company that invests in AAA first party.
