i find this headline absolutely hilarious. remember when gamepass started to ramp up as MS started to launch it's heavy hitters on the service? and every journalist was harping about how that model was the future and sony and nintendo better get in line? why does the platform in last place set the standard or trend for the entire industry? it's mind-bongling. same thing here. xbox is tanking. it doesn't reflect the entire industry.
outside of the US, xbox is a dead brand. it ain't doing so hot in the US either tbh.
this is so odd. consoles make up 85% of gp subscriptions. the xbox is the gateway to the service. if you kill the console, then subscription growth will crater.
i think he's referring to the part where it says for all players and all screamers, suggesting it's coming to every platform, but it's just speculation. though, i don't see why this would not be released on all platforms eventually.
people keep saying this but why? the vast majority of gamepass subs (at least 85%) are on console. if ms wants folks off console then what is the expectation of those players? to migrate to PC? to use mobile?
yeah this game will sell millions of copies, it already has the wider audience
and this is why consoles will never cease to exist.
it explains why a lot of their marketing only highlighted the cutscenes
a game based on a movie no one asked for... reminds me of Catwoman on PS2/Xbox 😂
since jade raymond jumped shipped, i would not be surprised
why would they do this?

the dual analog still predates it by two days. whether it had a short shelf life or not, it was still a controller with vibrating mechanics that released prior and paved the way for the inevitable dualshock. also, not really copying if one com...
what a strange revisionist history of PlayStation. they didn't make their name by copying and doing things better. also, the dualshock was released two days prior to the N64 rumble pack.
between marathon, fairgame$, that project gummy bears game, and ostensibly marvel tokon, sony has enough in the live service pipeline. no more. helldivers 2 will continue to deliver as will games like mlb:the show and gt7. while the last two aren't hyper live service, they are able to scratch that itch. focus on your single-player experience games, ensure polished, bug free PC ports, and continue to secure second-party deals with developers like kojima. this is how you secure the future o...
GTA6 is going to propel the PS5 to over 100 million sold next year.
same 😄
i mean...it's the same game only prettier.
how exactly? that's like saying sony will be mad at rockstar for grand theft auto 6. sony's home grown titles have their audience and sell millions of copies. sony now has the benefit of 30% additional revenue from games that they had no hand in developing, like every other third-party title. and xbox enjoys a 70% revenue stream from sony's audience. it's a win win.
samus: am i a joke to you?
you know, writer of this article, we can have both, strong main characters, and those who also need saving. there is nothing wrong with that.
this is a self inflicted wound. i honestly don't know what they were thinking.
