And then Veilguard said hold my beer.
Considering the $700 price tag, I think the Pro is doing just fine, with 12% of all PS5's sold on November being a Pro. In a broader sense, I imagine GTA6 is going to shift an insane number of PS5s, especially without a PC release, so Sony really has nothing to worry about in the immediate future.
"PS5 sales compared to the same month for the PS4 in 2017 are down by over 373,000 units, while the Xbox Series X|S compared to the same month for the Xbox One are down by over 1.21 million units. PS4 sold 1.82 million units for the month of October 2017 and Xbox One sales were at 1.72 million units."
Damn.
didn't it? 😂
Given how the Xbox is being outsold 3:1 by PlayStation in the US, it's strongest territory, it might as well quit Europe.
Yeah I think folks forget that AAA flop and indie flop are two very different things. Most indie games have a very modest budget and small teams. The threshold for financial success is very low by comparison.
Also, Carrion appears to have sold nearly 1 million units on Steam. This doesn't even factor in the Game Pass deal which is cash up front, plus PlayStation and Switch sales. I would hardly call it a flop.
No. Either everyone is off limits or no one's off limits.
Looking at the cumulative Xbox sales in the US really shows how poorly it performs in the rest of the world.
I still can't get over the fact that the Series X/S is selling worse than the One.
Hopefully these issues will be resolved in time for the PS5 launch three months from now. =P
Yeah, folks just don't seem to understand this. It's simply a revenue stream. It's very low-risk, high reward. I wouldn't be surprised if the game has already recouped it's development budget. And projects like help fund future titles. As the cost of AAA game development continues to increase, and titles needing to sell more copies in order to be considered financially successful, expect more of these remastered games to flood the marketplace.
So now we're just redefining what an Xbox is...good lord, who comes up with these ideas?
it also did just about the same as FF7: Rebirth in the UK which says a lot considering it's multiplatform...
I love this for Kojima. Metal Gear is such a massive piece of his legacy as a game developer and sadly, he does not own that franchise. This signals that he wants to retain the rights to all the IP that his new studio creates, so I wouldn't be too surprised if OD and Physint also go multiplatform at some point.
Just out of curiosity, is the launch PS5 stand, the circular black one that clips on from the back, compatible with the Pro?
MGS: Delta is going to sell millions more.
Xbox is on life support in Europe.
says who? this didn't exactly have a AAA budget.
After 3 months.
