this is why console sales matter, folks.
why wouldn't they? it's all PS5s 😂
sorta too late. damage has been done.
rumors have that device at 1500 😐
that ratio is going to be 4:1 in favor of the PS5 by the time this generation ends.
people say keep mentioning this fear of a return to arrogant sony, but with game dev having ballooned both in cost and turn around time, i don't think sony can afford to be arrogant anymore. the risk is too great.
they don't need to. they have the marketing. and they will use that to make the broader market think that PS5 will be the only place to play GTA6. they will also use GTA6 to push PS5 Pro, as the best way to experience it.
the PS5 Pro will walk so the PS6 can run.
this game was the reason why i bought a PlayStation as a teen.
what's the point of bringing up Japan sales in a topic about US?
there also isn't much incentive. im sure most parents are content the og switch their kids already own.
any talk about next gen from either one of these talking heads should now be taken with a grain of salt.
i doubt it will be like the recent titles. the original trilogy had a lot of vertically in the combat. it won't be exactly 1:1 like the old games, but it won't mirror the new over the shoulder style.
i think you are half right. sony became hyper-focused on live service games and given that, studios would then pitch live service games because those projects were the most likely to be greenlit by the higher ups. now, as for what the hell bluepoint was working on since their god of war game was cancelled is beyond me. it's just increasingly frustrating when sony just announced a god of remake which is still in its infancy when bluepoint could have been working on it for years and likely ...
i dunno about that one. which n64 games rival the graphical experiences of mgs, soul reaver, vagrant story, ffix, chrono cross, dino crisis 2, silent hill, crash bandicoot 3, and countless others?
yeah cause no one else will buy them!
too bad no one cares. when the series x launched, it had the power/tech advantage spec wise over the ps5, and phil spencer and the rest of the talking heads celebrated as if this generation was a guaranteed win for them. and what happened? most of their audience opted for the lower spec series s; their audience doesn't care about beast specs or beast of a console. the fact is that the broader market had already abandoned xbox at that point. they can sell a $1200 machine all they want, it ...
this is like every journalist and YouTuber proclaiming that the ps portal would be dead on arrival and that no one wants it. flash forward and the market dictated otherwise.
that's what happens when you make silent hill great again.
that headline seems wrong to me. best PC launch for a PlayStation Studios game? ghost of tsushima opened at 78K concurrent players.
