...the Series S sold less than the PS4 last week. The the X barely squeaked out 300 units sold. What the hell is this writer on?
Further exhibited by the PS5 selling out in China. The hunger for this game is real, and every day it's not on Xbox, it's just money left on the table by MS.
As much as it sucks, high profile failures such as this are necessary.
Imagine being one of the suits over at Microsoft/Xbox and being left out of the biggest conversation of the year.
Between this and Phantom Blade Zero, Sony is going to crush it in Chinese market.
What did he honestly expect? He spent over 100 billion dollars on studios and publishers without really growing the Xbox Ecosystem, not to mention the millions of dollars spent on Game Pass deals, which also has not grown as rapidly as the higher ups would like.
SotN? X6? what?! these games are incredibly easy, lol.
Another reason why indie devs ditch Xbox all together.
Every. Single. Year.
The month-to-month comparison is interesting. Despite Xbox's much-hyped summer showcase in June, it failed to make a substantial impact on sales. While PlayStation 5 sales skyrocketed by nearly 220,000 units, Xbox Series X|S sales lagged behind, increasing by a meager 96,000 units.
Looking a bit SOCOM-y
100% yes.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a PS5 game, as the team had this project in their pipeline before the begining of the PS5-era.
How is this news? We've known about this project since before the team was acquired by Sony.
Please. We need that Tachi DLC.
This is why they are in the position they are in now. They can buy up as many studios and publishers as they want, but it's too little too late. Yes, these moves have been greater for their dedicated fanbase, but the general market moved on during the Xbox One era.
Did Jez also claim that Baldur's Gate 3 had some sort of exclusivity deal with PlayStation which turned out to be complete bunk? He's a console warrior.
It just sounds like wishful thinking to me, or trying to will it into existence, that if we put the rumor out there then maybe it might happen.
Silent Hill 3 was straight up sorcery. It has better hair animation than most modern games, which is wild to me.
It may not seem like much, but that, coupled with some of the most unimpressive, uninteresting, and downright ugly character designs, are what sealed this game's fate.
