Cmon that's a bit strong... the DS had an unthinkable amount of 3rd party support that the 3DS can only dream of and one day may have.. that takes more than a year's time.
Still I'd have to concede that at least within the first year, the Nintendo published games have been better with the 3DS than the DS. I hope they can keep the ball rolling!

Well you also have to consider its still an emerging platform. US smartphone penetration is growing year over year and consider that last year more smartphones were sold than PCs. This year that number is expected to double. (That isn't to say smartphones can or should replace PCs, just gives a picture as to how large the market is becoming.)

Speaking of MMOs, Order and Chaos is a great mobile MMO, pretty crazy how big the game is considering its "just" a mobile game. People around here really seem to have tunnel vision when it comes to games.
The more successful platforms we have for games the better, that's one of the reasons this is the best generation of gaming we've ever witnessed.

The gameplay is basically perfect, like you said there isn't much in the way of reinventing Kart Racing games aside from user generated content, but I don't think Mario Kart needs that. They give a great selection of tracks in each game and without user gen content youre encouraged to perfect the tracks provided.
I don't think Mario Kart is rehashed simply by having a new one for each system. I think the fans are owed a new entry of the series for new hardware, ...

For sure. I beat this one more than any other Zelda game, and more than any other GBC game. I'd like to see a remake for 3DSWare.
the history of 3 is one of the reasons I'm actually interested in it.
I haven't been too impressed by the combat and quests in the AC series thus far, but the historical/environmental elements of the game are excellent.

I don't see why people think Wii U will be a failure, or not be an awesome new way to play games. Dual screens on a handheld proved wildly successful. Why wouldn't dual screens succeed for consoles?
Every time Nintendo releases a console there are haters everywhere preaching their doom and gloom, hoping and praying for failure, because it will give them some kind of sick twisted satisfaction knowing Nintendo fans everywhere will be heartbroken.
