So generic story and characters but awesome everything else that makes a game, you know, fun, equals a mediocre 7.5?
Gamespot be trollin' yo.
I love Zen Pinball, and this table looks insanely awesome. Day one.
What is a casual boater? How about a casual bridge player or a casual bowler...
Oh yeah.. its people who do that shit, they just don't do it all the time.
Thats the only real difference between casual and hardcore everything. Except for sex. That's a little different.
Xenoblade Chronicles
SMT Devil Survivor
Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story (funniest RPG ever)
Jungle beat kicks ass
Might still be on toysrus for $45... Can't wait for this epic!
because a mouse and keyboard would never work on a console, that technology is decades away /s
Sony fans mention exclusives all the time because it means more games to play, that you can't play anywhere else... not because it means it will lead to more system sales or "winning" an imaginary console war.
Sony posted a loss. The gamers who have the console are still winning.

Do you have any idea how much the Playstation brand is worth, and the enormous cost of gaining an equivalent level of brand recognition with a new brand?
Ridiculous assertion. Rebranding is only necessary in the most dire of circustances. And even then, it usually doesn't work out too well.
Emphatic "meh" for this list.
No Bioshock Infinite, GTA5, Resident Evil 6, Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, Last Guardian?
There were tons of FPS last gen also. They just get more attention now that online multiplayer has become as big as it has.. really that owes FPS games much of their success. Who buys COD for the campaign?
I'm in agreement. Games as a whole get progressively better every gen, its just that gamers around here get progressively more jaded, whiny, and harder to impress.
One reason I consider this gen the best is the number of platforms games come on. A lot of people seem to only think about PS3/Xbox/Wii games but lets not forget the two greatest handhelds ever, DS and PSP, as well as XBLA/PSN/WiiWare, and mobile gaming is now far far better than I ever imagined even just 3 y...
If the game is good I was going to get it anyway. Last time I watched the trailer I came away impressed. Certainly not getting the game for the demo though, I lol at anyone who does that.
Condemned is definitely horror.
The problem with horror games is its a niche genre. The movie industry even doesn't put out many horror movies, and when it does, they are more often than not relegated to b-movie status.
The other problem is that you can take plenty of elements of horror and build a game around it, and gamers will criticize it for not being survival horror.
Dead Space games are fantastic. DS was the first game I played on my PS3. Action, horror, survival, whatever you want to label it, those are some damn fine games with genuine scares. And yeah, there are the cheap scares that go "boo" (which, cheap as they are, still find a way to be effective) but there are plenty of "oh shit oh shit oh shit!" moments.
Also, it was a shock to see so many end of year lists snub Dead Space 2. Definitely broke my top five....
Bringing in the non-canon Mario games makes things too complicated for me.
5. Super Mario 3
4. Super Mario Sunshine
3. Super Mario World
2. Super Mario Galaxy
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
Definitely the most overlooked canon Mario game. Easily one of my favorites.
Excellent review from Sterling.
I know N4G considers him a troll but I think he writes some very good reviews.
