FYI you can preorder KoA from toysrus.com for 44.99, free shipping. SSX also, same price.
Still, very different games. There's room in the industry for a lot of different styles of fantasy RPG.
Witcher 2 definitely doesn't get enough attention. Which reminds me, I still need to play the first one.. and I'm pretty sure the enhanced edition can be had for a paltry $10.
Because a 45 minute demo is totally indicative of a 100-200 hour story driven fantasy RPG.
The article title is taken out of context.
"As far as Ken competing with his own parallel reality, for him, after Oblivion, I think he was done. Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, they're all great games, and I think they're progressively better, but they're all the same game. It's not like they're radically changing with time. I think he wanted to do something new."
Of course the games are different because there are improvements made...
Awesome list though all around though, and a site like GT couldn't exclude the 360s biggest exclusive of the year.
Glad to see Guild Wars 2 on there. And Bioshock Infinite definitely is worthy of the top spot.
Diablo 3 is by far my most anticipated game next year, I'll be playing that game for years.
I think it's pretty damn difficult to scare gamers these days. We're all too jaded and desensitized for scares. Personally I've loved every resident evil game scary or not. Imo people make far too big a deal about the series being taken in a different direction.

The last of us only at 21?
Crazy amount of great looking games coming out this year... I thought 2011 was packed.
The coveted and elusive Rainbow Pudding.
Holy **** that was a great trailer.
Day one.
1,2,3.
Easy and fun.
Broaden thy horizons good sir
PvP players generally don't go looking for duels in games created for leveling/progressing, I fail to see how that matters.
So you can't have a little spontaneous duel with your co-op pal, big deal.
It's not, and unfortunately neither is Nintendo hate.
I'll believe it when I see it
Pretty good list, I'd include Scott Shelby
Oh boy, another doom and gloom article. The 3DS is doing just fine, and its place in the market is completely justifiable.
Naturally the market for dedicated handheld gaming devices has, and will continue to shrink but not to the point that these devices won't find success.
There is just so many flaws in this article, too many unmentioned factors which will keep Nintendo's handheld from failing, even in the midst of what is nothing short of a technol...
"unmissable" may be overstating things a bit, but there were certainly at least 20 fantastic games released this year.
Anything lower than 3 is too low. Personally I'd put it atop everything released in 2011.
