Uhh..... DERRRRRRRRRRR
As a subscriber of the "wisdom of crowds" theory, I go by both, so long as the sample size is large enough.
If 90% of 100 people playing a game loved it, 8% liked it, an 2% hated it, it's a pretty safe bet that the game is indeed worth playing.
If 10% loved it, 20% liked it, and 70% hated it, then I'd probably have to go off someone's personal recommendation to me.
Aggregates influence my game purchasing decisions quite...
Sure, I'll start here:
"There has been no evidence that smartphones have replaced some of the stand-alone devices they mimic"

Smartphones ARE replacing stand-alone devices, for many consumers, and it's only becoming more prevalent as the technology in these things becomes more and more advanced.

Good day sir.
Sterling clearly had a more difficult time with this than other reviewers, he might have fat hands.
But honestly I think he gave a pretty fair review, he praised the good parts and even said if it weren't for the terrible controls he'd label it one of the greatest handheld games ever made.
If the controls are that bad it than the score is justified imo.
Why play ssb for the computer AI? It's all about playing against real people.. Preferably in the same room
Meta knight is untouchable. Way OP. Pit is mid tier
Somebody please shoot me in the face before I see another one of these poorly hypothesized articles.
That's because it's not cool to hate Nintendo games.. Nintendo systems, different story.
God of War 3 should probably be on this list..
Not all opinions deserve equal respect.
Opinions are based on a number of different conclusions that one comes to about a particular thing. Sometimes those conclusions were made from incorrect information or a lack of information or experience. Sometimes an opinion is formed from bias which was present before reaching a final conclusion.
People around here love to throw around the opinion card like it gives someone a free pass from criticism towards it.
Played through 3 times already, love this game. Truly one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had..multiplayer is brilliant, the artistry sublime.
I don't understand why people shop at Gamestop. Obviously they don't compete on price or deals, even K-Mart, Best Buy and TRU have better deals. People cite convenience but I doubt many people don't have one of those retailers nearby.
As far as used games, I'm all for them in general, but Gamestop doesn't even compete on price there either unless they are having one of their rare buy 2 get 1 free, which even then is barely better than what you would pay ...
Right?! Honestly is there a single video game coming out this year as exciting as Infinite? It will most definitely stand out.
Although I do have to say, AC3 trailer was badass. Hopefully its not as boring and easy as the rest of the series.
And PCs will always beat apple..
really because their average is 72%
1. It's naughty dog
2. Survival horror
3.????
4. Profit
I've been pretty disappointed with the quantity of quality games available for the 3DS but I know it will blossom sooner or later. The DS had the same problem, and eventually ended up having a library that rivals the PS2. It just needs some time to mature.
Of course, by the time that happens there will probably be a new version of the hardware that includes the right analog, better battery life, and maybe a wider viewing angle, so I would recommend waiting on the 3DS ...
@rock
wow no wonder brits are so dumb, when they only get 60% of their test answers correct that is considered average?
by the way out of all the UK publications I could identify Edge has the lowest average score. For example Play UK and Games Master UK have averages over 70%. But aside from that, many US publications have averages in the mid 60s, simply because there are so many crap games out there.
But when we talk about average games an...
@gin
The real scale is 7.5=average. That is the the reigning paradigm. Edge and people like yourself are reading into averages too literally. Considering our school system in the US judges a 75% as average that's how we are trained to perceive a similar scoring scale. Right or wrong, that's the way it is, so just roll with it instead of being a pretentious little snob.
Can a game be broken or made by its soundtrack? Only if it is a music/rhythm game. Otherwise, hell no. In all other cases its sprinkles and cherries.
