Wii - $393.70
360 - $306.30
PS3 - $466.21
And the Wii is still the no. 1 selling console on ebay. I think that pretty much says it all.
People have been asking "What if the 360 or PS3 were the same price as the Wii? You think the Wii would still sell then?"
Well, it's averaging $90 MORE that 360, and just $70 less than the PS3... and it's still outselling both.
Draw your own conclusions. (But in case you ca...
Damn dude... Contra on the NES took about 30min to beat and it was one of the best/most addictive games of all time, getting more playtime/replayablity than any of the other games of its time.
It seems unlikely that "Bill Gates" would say things like that about his own system...
Maybe you should change your Avatar name to "Just-crawled-out-of-Sony 's-ass", and use a picture of a turd-covered c0ckroach.
Or maybe you should just stfu.
Pretty nice setup! (Except for the Bose speaker system.)
Maybe I'll win the lottery one day...
... which makes the fact that they're doing this all the more impressive!
You'd think a company who's had some major flops might stick with the tried and true (like Sony and MS are doing)... but no, Nintendo is out there trying to improve upon the game experience, with unique games, controls, and innovation.
They've taken big risks this gen, and they're paying off. And they'll once again revolutionize the way games are played. Instead of bashing them, you shoul...
Couldn't agree more.
Not only that, but the Balance Board is going to be unbelievable once devs get their hands on them and start incorporating its unique control interface into games!
All the self-proclaimed "hardcore" gamers out there who are bashing WiiFit and the Balance Board (and Wii Remote for that matter) just can't seem to see past controlling a game with anything other than their thumbs. It's sad really.
Why play Call of Duty then? Why not just sign your ass up for the army?
And why watch sports on TV? Why not just go to the game?
And why play around with PS3 Home? Why not just go buy some clothes, and decorate your own house?
All those questions are just as stupid as the points you're trying to make.
Maybe you should think before you just blindly go bashing anything with a bit of innovation behind it. You probably would have bas...
... because if now is the time to buy one, and sales still end up being sluggish, then what?
Will we say "Wait some more"? Or say "Nope, we spoke too soon, THAT wasn't the time to buy one... NOW is the time to buy one".
I think it might take at least another year and more price drops before we finally start seeing the types of sales people are hoping for.
Ya, that's a pretty weak ad.
But the funny thing is that with it being banned and all, more people are likely to end up seeing it than if it wasn't banned.
Just like Manhunt 2 will prolly sell more now, than if the controversy wasn't surrounding it (assuming it's actually still released).
Go figure.
Oh my god, where will I find time enough to play all these amazing games?!!
(Okay, that kinda (if not totally) sounded sarcastic, but it really wasn't.)
(And there's no sarcasm in my statement indicating the absence of sarcasm in my previous statement.)
(And just to clarify... there is not a SINGLE ounce of sarcasm in this entire post, including in this very sentence.)
My head hurts. I'm out.
Wow, what a convoluted way to make a title for a story.
While it's true that the gap in weekly sales has been narrowed, the overall number of console sales has actually increased for Wii over PS3.
To actually narrow the overall console sales gap, the PS3 would have to outsell the Wii in a week. Oh well...
"You spin me right 'round baby, right 'round. Like a record baby, right 'round, 'round, 'round."
... unless the headline for the article has changed since you made the comment, it says "Best Multiplayer Game"... not "Best ONLINE Multiplayer Game".
Calling Wii Fit and other Nintendo innovations "gimmicks" is quite foolhardy.
Do you not understand the type of games that will be possible by combining the Wii Remote and Wii Balance Board?
Nintendo will again revolutionize gaming. (What has Sony ever done? Their idea of innovation is changing the labels on the buttons from "A, B, X, Y" to "Square, Triangle, X, O". Wow.)
You claim you prefer games that are "te...
"the motion sensing is rendered useless when you're suing a wheel"
Umm... seemingly you don't have a complete grasp of how the Wii remote works.
Using the wheel with the remote actually results in 100% motion sensing use (plus maybe a few button presses), but the point is, that ALL of the controls (minus said button presses) are performed through motion sensing. It's not "rendered useless". Quite the opposite in fact.
That's pretty sweet! Is it a video game or a cartoon? Niiiiiiiice!
Dude, Nintendogs may not be important to an obviously rabid fanboi/hardcore gamer like you, but it introduced video gaming to the masses (especially those who would never even think of touching the things).
THAT is the reason it's on the list. It may not appeal to hardcore gamers like you (which is why you don't think it should be on the list), but there's FAR more casual (and formerly non-gamers) out there than there are hardcore... and that's why this is an important game.
... couldn't agree more with you guys.
I can't believe the level of ignorance from the people on this site. Taking pot-shots at Miyamoto (like 90% of the people on here have been doing), is like defacing a Buddha statue! (ie. You just don't do it!)
Grow up and show the man the respect he deserves!
Ya lol, what a joke. I could probably code this game in 15min. Maybe another 45min to add some graphics.
I pray to God that nobody is stupid enough to actually buy this game.
Although by the sounds of the amount of effort that went into it, they'd only need to sell 1 or 2 to make a profit.
lmao
I've just been playing this tonight, and it's sweet!
Was a bit disappointed when I first started (the tutorial is pretty weak and the load times are fairly lengthy). And my first online game started lagging before eventually disconnecting. And the single-player mode that it starts you out on is way too easy (eventhough I sucked), and I couldn't tell what the crap was going on half the time (also because I sucked)...
... But after a few more single-player games,...
Ya ya ya, fine.
"Everyone" meaning "Xbox360, and PS3"...
...and not forgetting all those people who end up with sore muscles from playing tennis or boxing... AND all those TVs that got smashed, people with black-eyes, broken windows, etc. lol
The Wii is just kicking ass all 'round.
