True about most people on here being a 360 or PS3 fan though. I think all the Wii fans are just sitting back laughing at them though... While they argue, the Wii is quietly kicking both their asses.

What I think we can ALL agree on is that Sony will unfortunately (or fortunately) not be the Behemoth it was in the past.
I must admit, that I didn't see the benefit in providing SO many units for a launch... but now I do.
And that reason is: the positive press they're getting about breaking all sorts of launch records.
But, as the only launch where supply actually outstripped demand, all these records aren't -that- impressive. Sure they're impressive, but there's no telling how many Wiis or 360s would have sold at launch if their releases had more supply than demand.
Yes, and last time I checked the DS stylus-pen (or whatever they call it) didn't have motion sensors in it. It's innovation all-round for Nintendo here.
But even if the DS and Wii were exactly the same (except one being handheld, and one being a home console), the fact is that Nintendo has done something different than any other company out there... and that is innovation.
In reality though, the only similarity between the DS and Wii is how much ass they're kick...

If by "hardcore" you mean someone who was fine with good graphics 2 years ago, and now suddenly can't do without 1080p... then you may be right.
However, the Wii is completely capable of entertaining "hardcore" gamers... afterall, we're talking about hardcore GAMErs... (notice the "game" in gamers), and if the good games go to the Wii, then the Wii will be the hardcore gaming system.

Well that's somewhat impressive.
However, obviously the "best" PS3 games so far are going to outsell the majority of Xbox and Wii games which "aren't the best" those consoles have to offer released over the same time. And obviously newly released games (which happens to be every PS3 game) are going to outsell games that have been out for a while. And obviously people are going to buy games with a new system.

Why is there a picture of HOME with this article?
For one thing, the article makes no mention of Sony's HOME.
And HOME will generate such a small amount of revenue compared to any current (or future) MMO applications, that it's not even worth mentioning in such an article (which is wasn't).

It's not just a grill! I fried an egg and toasted some bread on my PS3 while running Folding@home.
I think with a few minor tweaks I should be able to replace my microwave too!
Eventually, I should even be able to (gasp) play some good games on it!

Who's going to buy the PS3 from you after you get it? You'd have to be lucky and stumble across a fanboy (although I suppose there'd be a few of them at such an event). No one else wants the things at those prices. Anyone else would do the smart thing and get a 360 and Wii instead.

He's not bashing folding in general, or folding on the PS3, or anyone who runs it to help where they can.
It's just a typical shot at the PS3 and its current lack of high-calibre games... with admittedly quite humorous use of the word "fold".
