It's because they go into the store with their $250 to buy a Wii... but can't find one... so end up settling on a PS2.
Just for the record... sales dropping 1% on e-bay hardly qualifies as the end of the Wii's launch craze. (So keep an eye on that to continue.)
And conversely, sales increasing of Xbox360 on e-bay hardly mean that it's all over for PS3 and Wii.
360s are moving right now because people are offloading them to make room for the 360 Elite.
Dude!... there's a reason why TopGamer has 8 bubbles, and why yours are going down faster than a hooker at a tycoon convention.
Could be wrong, but I think it might be from The Matrix DVD menu or something...
Lol, gotta love the signs outside the store... but the funniest part was seeing a store that -actually- has Wii's sitting on the shelves!! lol
GaMr... so by your statement then... as soon as the PS3 came out, it made your PS2 a "toy"?
Maybe you can understand some math (with your clearly superior (non feeble minded) intellect):
PS3 > Wii... (by your logic implies the Wii is a "toy")
Wii >= PS2
PS3 > PS2... (therefore PS2 is a also "toy")
I'm just sayin', that if you claim the Wii is a "toy" I really hope you en...
Article says: "With the PS3 finally starting to sell in significant numbers..."
Where are they getting this impression from?
PS3 sales are still horrible. Just because it released in a few other regions and sold a few hundred thousand consoles they think "the PS3 finally starting to sell in significant numbers". Let's back up those claims with some numbers please. I've yet to see any "significant" sales.
Will the PS...
About the Wii GaMr says "it's more of a toy than a console".
Well, since the Wii is more powerful than the PS2... what does that make your PS2?
'nuff said.
Don't read the article then. Especially don't waste your time REPLYING to such articles. Sheesh, it doesn't take a genius to figure THAT out. lmao.
In that case...
God = Nintendo
Man = Sony / MS
lol :P
Well, not everyone who has a Wii had aa GC. And not everyone who has a GC actually played this game.
I actually almost bought the GC version of this game 3 weeks ago. For obvious reasons, I'm glad I didn't.
I'll have to wait for more news on this, but my first impression is that this won't be all that successful.
Maybe if MS, Sony, or Nintendo steals their ideas down the road for their next consoles... then we might start seeing things like this in more than two people's homes.
Ya, pretty good one. Would have been much more funny if I didn't already know it was an ad for a PSP though. :|
"You spin me right 'round baby, right 'round. Like a record baby, right 'round, 'round, 'round."
Everyone has very interesting comments...
... but now the REAL reason for the price drop.
// startJoke
We ALL know that Nintendo has been holding back it's supply, which is why they can't be found anywhere (lol, ya right)... but now that the new fiscal year is upon us, Nintendo will AGAIN start supplying stores!
They're dropping the price on the PS3 to get them all out of the store so they can stock their shelves with Wiis! (Too bad...
Phew! For once someone from Sony doesn't come out of an interview with his foot in his mouth.
I still think they're putting way too much faith into HOME though. I mean, it's going to have some good features... but the 3D world?... in my opinion, a big waste of company resources that could be much better utilized elsewhere. I personally don't think it will have the impact they're hoping for. It doesn't interest me in the least, and I'm quite sure I'm not the only gamer out t...
Gotta disagree with you there Rooted. It's not like they were holding her down forcing her to drink water. She was drinking it by her own merit.
It's an unfortunate situation, but the radio station should not be liable.
The decision made was the correct one.
Here's some simple (CORRECT) math for you all:
1 mil units shipped.
600k sold.
400k remain.
If Sony sold ALL 400k remaining units... their sales would have dropped by 33.33%. (ie. They would have sold 200k fewer units than previously. 200k unit drop in sales out of 600k (100% of previous sales) is a 33.33% drop in sales... not a 60% drop as claimed by Bigmac.) So a 33.33% drop would be their best case... as it assumes that they so...
"Overall sentiment for the Elite is negative, and is currently below the positive sentiment garnered by the Wii and the Playstation 3."
What planet has this guy been on? Since when has the PS3 generated "positive sentiment"?... Since it's had a few good articles written due to breaking a few sales records?
It's some impressive records to be sure, but it's not spectacular like many people seem to think it is. I guarantee that if Nintendo stoc...
This just in: Sony delivers 70" HD TVs to all T3 employees, as promised.
Too bad the PS3 kicks TVs ass though!... they should have given away PS3s!
