This study was performed on 13-15 year olds.
Do you know how much energy kids that age expend?... so ya, adding in a bit of Wii sports isn't going to be a huge addition of energy expenditure for a kid... but for the average adult couch-potato, it will definitely have an effect.
So for people looking to bash Nintendo because of this study, you can go ____ yourselves.
For anyone who wants to know the difference between Galaxy and Sunshine... go see Beowulf in IMAX 3D, then go see it on a regular screen.
Mario Galaxy is Beowulf in IMAX 3D.
Mario Sunshine is Beowulf on a normal screen (actually make that the Swedish made "Beowulf and Grendel" from 2005)... since the 2 games are so totally different, it's not quite right to make a comparison using the same movie.
If you do this, you'll understand. But to put...
If you're ever in the mood for some fun, this is the game to be playing!
If all you're into is tallying up headshots with your sniper rifle, then don't play this.
Fun, yes.
Headshots, no.
If you're a gamer, you'll play this game and love it!
They're making 1.8 million Wiis a month (that's 41.6 Wiis every minute). (They sold 1400 in 10 minutes... that's 140 sales per minute.) And thousands of people are going home upset and Wii-less every day. There is NO WAY Nintendo would intentionally hold back so much supply that so many people won't be able to get one.
And it IS Christmas time (for those ignorant enough to suggest that they'll flood the market at Christmas time).
I'd like to know why there's 3...
It's not a "gimmick". Neither is the Wii Remote, neither is the EyeToy.
Gimmicks are things like Pet Rocks; Clocks that project the time onto the wall; and Creamsicle scented Sunscreen.
That's pretty cool.
If I was a developer, I would absolutely be drooling over the possibilities of incorporating the Balance Board into various aspects games!
I hope many other companies utilize this as another great control interface. We should see some killer stuff coming out in 2008/09.
... you PS3 fanboys are ridiculous!
Disagreeing is fine, but giving me negative feedback for something that is a fact! Grow up!
If you can't notice the framerate difference and choppiness, you're a damn retard, and simply trying to justify your purchase of a so-far inferior machine with no good games.
Everyone who gave me negative feedback for giving my opinion on the framerate (which also happens to be a fact (unless you're blind)), you can go fv...
Not sure if it was just the video (doesn't seem likely)... but the PS3 version is far more choppy than the 360 version (which ran almost completely smooth the entire time).
Edit: Just watched the stand-alone videos as well, and the 360 version definitely seems to be smoother.
Four words...
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Not that it's necessary to be able to tell, but plugging headphones into my receiver it's clear that the game ISN'T mono.
Also the "evidence" displayed on that site is garbage too. If you sample the Wii Menu music over a longer period, and then display both channels on the same graph, the difference would ALSO be negligible (if at all noticeable).
Regardless of the "supposed 'evidence'", the game IS NOT mono. Anyone who believes this story is...
With solid business sense like this, I can definitely see how Nintendo is dominating the world these days.
Gotta love 'em.
This guy is even more stupid than I thought!
Like seriously. You know what happens when a book is banned?... Everyone wants it? You know what happens when Britney Spears bombs on the MTV Music awards?... Everyone wants to see it.
You know what happens when some dude gets on National Television and starts talking about a game?... Everyone is gonna want it!
There's an old sayin' "There's no such thing as bad publicity".
He...
... so this may have already been touched on.
But didn't Sony just finish saying a few months ago that they don't buy exclusives?! I guess since they gave RockStar a -blank- cheque, they don't really consider that passing over any real money?? Lmao.
All this double-talk, broken promises, and over-hype has really got to come to an end Sony!
They've really tarnished their company's image over the years in my eyes. Sony used to be The Sh1t!!... now...
...
"AllroundGamer" my ass.
If you actually were an AllroundGamer, you'd know that your comment is full of complete rubbish. If you were an AllroundGamer, you'd actually have some knowledge about the industry and its consoles. CLEARLY you don't.
If you don't know why, then you shouldn't even be calling yourself a "Gamer" let alone an "AllroundGamer".
Ya, but that means NONE of the games released already are MUST owns?... they're putting all their faith in games that haven't been released?
If any of them flop in a similar fashion to Lair it's really not going to look good.
The point I was trying to make was that it's just dangerous to hype things up so much until they've actually proven that they're worthy of the hype. (As I said, Lair probably would have been on this list a month ago.)
That list is filled with games that haven't even come out yet.
What's wrong with the existing PS3 games like Warhawk and HS?... at least they've proved themselves as being decent games already.
Stick with the tried and true. (Games that we already KNOW are good.) A month ago Lair would have been on that list... ie. it's quite risky putting games on a list like that, which have yet to prove themselves.
That's not good news. He's been doing a great job. I hope his replacement is equally competent.
This game is going to get an insane amount of play-time!
People are still playing MELEE 6 years later!
Please oh please let it have onlne play! Pleeeease!
Something just seems very fishy about this.
Did anyone else notice that in the original ("marked up") picture of the console, that there was no ink in the place that they found a "smudge" on the returned unit?
So either a) this story is complete BS. Or b) the repair team just made it "look" like they'd erased everything, but really... one of them is actually enjoying the cool case on their home Xbox right now!
Either ...
