It seems in the US people are more into online over the networks and Morpg. Most of these are household connections located in a gameroom or living area. In US less people tend to run around with pocket consoles. In JPN the wireless internet is everywhere so people treat handhelds like we treat cell phones and ipods.

Are you assuming that from now until this is launched no new PS3s will be sold? It's 9 million now so by the time this game is launched the PS3 could be at 16 million. People would still be saying the install base is to small because the Wii or 360 has a bigger install base then today.

It totally would make sense if THQ was about to go belly up.
Quality produced products have higher profit potential if the market isn't flooded.
It doesn't mean their giving up it means they need to pull back money is tight and having all these products in development cost big $$. Their pulling several muti-console games here some are 360 too. Stop and think before you blame PS3 when THQ has been in trouble for a while.

I think it's because deep down people are insecure and by bashing another console it makes them feel better knowing that they can say the things that they fear the most. Things like your console breaking down. Your console getting ban from live. Even fear of the console losing exclusives because their console is falling in last prace.

As for the RROD I know a kid that spent all summer saving up mowing laws for a 360. It RROD on him 3 times he sent it in for repair cut his losses and traded it in for a PS3 at a large loss.
He even wrapped it in towels when it first messed up to get it runnig again before the warranty.
In a game you play it after time it's value will drop to the point where it no longer interest you. If you sale it you get money back fine because you've already soaked up the content value of the game. It's no longer worth it to most people. The thing that irritates devs is that resalers are selling them at a huge profit and people who buy the used games get as much entertainment value out of the used game as if they bought a new one.

The system works as follows. You can purchase a game and play it on any console however, a download content verification number is needed to buy add on packs.
Once you buy the game and register it your game can still be played on any console. The thing here is that if you plan on buying expansion packs or getting free upgrades only the original owner can buy these add on features or packs. This wouldn't effect the original...
We need the open source OS softwares to be more widely accepted and let MS deal with software components.
