Is it just me or does this sound more to the point of what he's implying?
"When a system breaks down just buy a new one. You only lose your downloaded content. Also if enough people do this enough it'll help hardware sales figures."
I'm not sure this will help anyone but Microsoft. Why wouldn't you want the customers to not get their systems fixed. I agree with the new console being better then the repaired but why should people pay for manufacture defe...
He said it's more difficult and it will work to their advantage.
Then went on to say their games will stand out.
I think this is a significant positive on his part. He points out that although it'll be harder to work with more can be done to improve this version. Clearly making it stand out above its competition.
Why the hostility and negative optimism? I don't see this as a negative statement in the least. The developer clearly believes his compan...
The background looks photo realistic with animated balls transposed over a photo.
Aside from that bird and the balls it looked to me like it wasn't really a rendered environment.
If it was then wow I couldn't tell it. The image size was to small to zoom in the details. In fact if I tried to zoom in the image would just shrink to the same size.
I really can't speculate on the detail but based on what was presented at it's size ratio it appeared high...
That's about like a street of mom & pop shops telling Walmart they don't want competition in their area.
Money is what drives these things and one or 100 thousand people calling and telling a company not to make money is like someone telling you to go on a hunger strike because they don't want you to eat. To survive you must eat and no matter what people want your not going to starve yourself so someone else can benefit. As a big company this is business suicide.

No they sold $50 million in exclusive content to Microsoft.
Money money money, drools money.
I have frontiernet service and they only offer decent download/uploads if there is competition in the area. We pay $50+ for 1meg down and 128k up.
Feel lucky they won't roll out higher speeds unless there's competition. They probably used government funding to roll out the DSL.
I used to get almost 3k down and 400 up. The frontiernet.net company owns a monopoly in my area. I'm sure they used government funding to deploy DSL.
Anyway I pay $50 a month for 1k down 192up. After a recent storm my connection messed up and they sent line men to look at it. None showed just one called us up. The problems persisted so we called them back they inturn dropped the DSL speed to 1k. After speaking to the local line man and the customer service they stated that we p...
Did I mention Sony or Microsoft in my entire post? No I didn't the fact that you responded by taking a pot shot at my intelligence doesn't help your comment either. The truth is I've owned 4 ps2's.
Four of them and only one of them ever broke the other three are 6+ years old and still kicking. At least 2 of them are running every single day including the launch model that needed fixed. You know the one with the hdd slots all my ps2's are like 90001 models.
So th...
If customer support is rude they don't stay in that job long. Look at it from this perspective. If your in a relationship and you break up with a partner what course of action do you think would bring your partner back?
A. Tell them your in charge and have complete control over the outcome.
B. Give them lavish gifts, be apologetic, polite and tell them you respect them?
C. Do both.
The answer is obviously C. both. you can do both with a positive out...
People keep buying them, repairing them and buying games for the console.
I once heard an analyst say that gamers will pay whatever it takes for this hobby. It seems true if people are willing to go though so many inconveniences and still remain loyal.
Warranty, or not people are still buying into it like addicted chain smokers. It's almost funny to see people make the same decision over and over again. What gives? if you see a problem and it's persistent find a ...
When I was on the market for a laptop with minimal specs at a cheap price the Eee was one of my options. I choose to ignore that unit because the software was so restricted and the on board memory was flash based. Later on I managed to get a full new laptop PC from newegg for the same price as the Eee. Love this $399 Asus 3050 laptop. It has everything I need even a new vista OS. For $50 I upgraded the ram to 2gb the 512mb was kinda weak.
With the Eee not only would I have had...
With as many security holes in OS's its amazing that they can still find new ones that have existed since windows 95.
Either the software wasn't coded for security or just plain bad coding. With all the people working on them things should be super secure by now.
So, if new patches are being created every week it makes me worry how many are still in them.
Very true in the US the cost of living has went up significantly. Gasoline is at record breaking $4 a gallon. In all honestly I believe this is causing some of the major inflation.
All manufactures are feeling a pinch not just Sony. Unfortunately in the US if the government needs to offset the deficit they increase minimum wage and devalue the dollor.
In the case with the PS3 the product is a flat $399 and $499. If the inflation outpaces manufacturing cost it'll ...
Have you guys notice the recent inflation in the economy. The cost of gasoline is nearing $4 a gallon in the USA. Everything is becoming more expensive. It's hard to deny that the increasing cost for product shipping won't be passed on to the customers somewhere or another.
Sure the competition keeps prices low but when you have rapid increases in the standard of living everything is more expensive.
Not saying these jumps are solely to blame on economic issues bu...
I explained that european PS3 60gb models wheren't fully EE chipped from the start.
So basically the european systems are similar to a PS3 80gb model with 20gb more HDD. The 60gb PS3's in europe aren't the same as the 60gb US ps3's. They're more like the 80gb with 60gb hdds.
If this system has full EE it's no wonder Sony *Europe* has a hard time replacing this model. It's clearly from the wrong region. They never produced full EE enabled PS3s in europe so the sup...
Hello, Isn't the PS3 60gb in europe the same motherboard configuration as an 80gb?
I specifically remember the PS3s in europe launched without a full EE chips. I remember them being launched as 60GB models with partal software PS2 BC. These europe 60gb PS3s had partal software emulation from the beginning so I don't see what the deal is about it. The 60gb is basically the same setup as the 80gb today. The only notable difference between the 80gb and 60gb in europe is the HDD si...
This would be nice for adding features to say your sports jacket.
I'm sure the technology isn't to flexible but wouldn't it be nice to have notebook that you can fold up. <.<
Military applications it would be useful for adaptive armor. Current technology restricts movement by requiring housings for the electrics. With this you could incorporate it directly into the fabrics. Spy 101.. ^.~
Everything you do on your live account is linked through MS. If your account gets deleted, hacked, ban or what not everything go's with it. Why should people need to deal with this if they don't want to?
If my account is deleted the prograss of a local game shouldn't be linked to system that blocks me from accessing it. If something screws up like my console is ban by a glitch, breaks down or whatever MS should try to resolve these problems.
It's already known th...
You seriously can't install mods?
I think this new update changed to way the PS3 searches for files. Like I said in my last topic suddenly MP3s sorted by authors suddenly require me to tell the PS3 view all. If this is the case with mods it's not properly searching files.
I also head codebreaker PS2 no longer works since 2.17 but I've never run that on a PS3 so I haven't a clue if it's fact or fiction.
Do you think if everyone boycotted 360 it'd make them re-evaluate the console design?
I see it in this perspective. If there is a hungry tiger outside a village Africa. I don't think placing fresh meat in the center of town will make it go away. I believe the, feed it or ignore it mentality will only encourage it's negative behavior.
How does this compare to the tiger? Think of it like this, if people continue to support and accept the solutions MS is offering, i...
