the media eats this stuff up and spits it back out to joe public.

Reviews and such prove that they've not taken the PS3 userbase seriously. This in turn makes people not buy their games on the PS3.

EA needs to wake up and do a few great games that aren't just equal quality but better by using as much as the PS3 power they can tweek out of it.

They've been making the 360 verions superior because the PS3 versions where ports.

Stop for...

Even if they hack the firmware The new games have loaders that can be made to detect these modifications and Sony can and will do firmware updates that render the new firmware requirements for these new games. Always one step ahead of the hackers because after each update or new game the hackers will need to fix the console to support the new encryption.

Sure you can crack an old game but the constant firmware and game boot code updates will make it hard to stay in check.

If your woman is envying your console because she thinks it's getting more attention then her she should leave that relationship or join in with you.

That way you'll either get closer or apart. Figure it this way after a good butt kicking what better way to entertain yourself?

PS3 in the us still has no rumble, the Wii controller is square and the 360 controller is just too fat and rounded.

I can understand why she feels left out I assume none of the controllers are comfortable in her hands. Based on this article she's more keyboard and mouse as her hobby is journalism. So why is it wrong if guys have VG as hobbies. After all she's still playing with her keyboard & mouse.

This story is fiction, She probably has a boyfriend that plays video games and she wanted him to do something with her. He said no i'm playing my ?console? now and she went stomping back to the bedroom.

It's kinda obvious this day in age 30+ guys play games. College students started the FPS lan parties concepts afyer all. Where has this lady been living, under a rock all these years?

Hmmm.. Next time he's in the mood and not playing his console maybe she'd say &q...

They copy steal or mimic it then sell it under their own brand. Preferably into other products or services.

Back in dos days MS stole the interface from apple who stole it from xerox.

MS takes ideas people have for products copies them then puts them in their products. These copied features are for products that innovative companies sold as 3rd party products. After those features are copied the attach rate of their products dropped severely. MS took the innovati...

Adc some popular Japanese games into the arcade. Invest and intergrate some JRPG aspects into the environment. Have an arena for PVP strategy. Give them awards for FF like boss costumes etc.

Pocacoo or whatever its called with the little metal balls beside the pool tables and basketball hoops.

Once they see others interacting with home they'll likely have a change of opinion. The sheer competitive nature of japanese gamers isn't based on who's best all the time ...

A lot of people in the industry hate the fact that everything is so multiple platform. At least in the case the game industry development teams could invest in one console without fear of neglecting that other audience of gamers.

The gaming industry is like the HD format war. A lot of people just want the multiple formats to go away. From a customers standpoint this competition can be good or bad. If it's good it drives prices down and everyone benefits. Companies fight to gain...

No MS knows they have Doubleclick, Hotmail and Passport. They realise that if they also get the search engine they can also intergrate features into windows OS with the search engine. MS wants to unify the Windows OS with the internet completely. You know that index feature intergrated into the OS? They'll link that to their internet search as well.

The next thing about hostle may have truth. Yahoo is down to earth open system run by a group of people. A lot of these investers ...

I don't play games on PCs anymore. The game consoles are pretty good with compatibility. I mean. When you buy a Wii, 360 or a PS3 when you stick in that disk and if your system is in working order it just RUNS!

The inconvenience of PC gaming figuring out drivers, video memory motherboard soundcard etc. These things just get i the way. I say IMHO unless you like fiddling with settings and have the money stick with console gaming.

Too much stuff to deal with on ...

Are you sure?

Seriously, if customer service was doing their job do you think this kid would've wasted his time tracking don Bills email?

It's obvious he was dissatisfied with the proper channels you speak highly about. Otherwise he wouldn't have wasted time writing the CEO.

Let me make one thing clear. People that complain do so because they care about something that their dissatisfied with. He just took steps to make his voice heard. Sure he ste...

With todays limited schedules. People don't need any more inconveniences when they just want to kick back relax and play a game.

I don't know how you manage you time but some people buy consoles for entertainment. Not to excercise their communication skills with customer service.

When I baught my console I expected to use it. When it's in the shop I can't use it so thats wasted time I can't enjoy the product I paid for. Every time I sent my console back the inves...

MS has stopped production until they fix the RROD problems completely. Those RROD are causing a serious drain on MS from my understanding. Perhaps more then the money they set back to cover repairs. Just my guessed opinion though. It'd be nice if the 360 ultimate was launched with a satisfaction promiss of less then 2% failure rate. Otherwise I could go off the deep end and think their scrapping 360 fot the 720.

The HD-DVD manufactures need to end this it's almost like their trying to take revenge for losing the war. Everyone suffers the longer you hold out. This war is sabotaging the HD industry!

I've discharged my PS3 controller several times using it for online play. I'd leave the console on and and a few hours later come back and notice it unplugged.

Sure the battery life is great but it comes down to this. If your batteries die in the middle of a game you have two options 1. plug it in the usb cable defeating the whole wireless controller benefits. 2. have a fully charged backup controller to swap out $$$.

With an option for replacing the batteries yo...

I did factor in the rotating pool as a variable. There are just no hard numbers to accurately calculate what percentage of these returned consoles are referbs or replaced units in the 17m. This is especially important for consoles exchanged with 3rd party warranties before the 3 year RROD warranty was announced.

One thing I think is noteworthy. I'm sure that before the extend warranties where annouced more people used the in store exchages for new units as mentioned above. Thes...

MS has plans to announce they are going to open up Live a little and remove some of these restrictions to compete with Sony.

This as all rumors and speculation but i'm sure MS understands the ups and downs of this. If MS does do this it'll be probably by announced at the GDC.

Still considered how much control MS would lose from live I have optimism when I consider this possibly.

Perhaps you don't understand my simple comment. Or you just ran down this list and hit disagree without reading.

I'm stating that the controller would be nice if it had a battery pack standurd that would work exactly as the current PS3 controller. The only difference is you as a customer would be able to use batteries or replace the battery pack if necessary without replacing the controllers completely.

Your suggesting that the concept of mine doesn't give the PS...

Big difference here. When 360 was released for this gen it ha Zero competition from Sony or Nintendo. When Sony launched the PS3 the Wii was launched alongside it as direct competition. Given the reality of the $499 and $599 PS3 price tag and the low cost of the $250 Wii you can't possibly believe that 360 did better given the sheer advantage it had in it's first year.

People wanted next gen and 360 was the only next gen console on the market in year 1. It doesn't take rocket s...
