Sounds more like an excuse to slow progression. SE figured this out in FF11 if you create events and other activities that have time limits it takes longer for people to progress decreasing the opportunity to finish everything in a few hours or days. They had this problem with the last update when level caps increased. Within hours of the update some players already had level 80 jobs while others took weeks to get one job to 80.
Hello everyone. Does anyone think Sony or the developers would ban players for using these online. In essence it could be abused like modded controllers in the online environment.
Agree = Yes they could ban for using it.
Disagree = No they won't ban for using it.
Maybe they are banning too many modded consoles in Mexico to justify the lower cost service. I'd assume that this nation would have a much higher piracy rate considering the lower standard of living.
Now add the issues of less broadband and lower earning across the board the basic cost is high making the hiked price extreme.
One thing about economics is that if your product and the economy is struggling you don't try and raise prices for a low demand ...
The 3d secure wasn't my issue. It was their market server saying it was busy. The SE customer service said they was sorry could not take credit info over the phone. Then continued with the statement all transactions had to be made through software. I was also told if the server busy message failed 3 times it would auto reject for 24 hours. It took almost 2 weeks to get my credit card info updated.
As for calling the bank. When I called SE CS they told me it was the banks ...
"Mikhailov confirmed that the team did prototype Move with an analog stick built -in (instead of requiring a Subcontroller) but said that “using an analog stick while you’re moving in 3D is actually not very intuitive” and that a decent stick “adds quite a bit of cost to the device, and since it wouldn’t be used often that might not be justified."
They removed the analog stick to *CUT cost*. I wouldn't have because the having that would've been pure perfecti...
To be honest, my comment wasn't denying that they refuse add new content or are neglecting the content side of the game. The way I see support is on two sides. Support the game itself with content and secondly to support the user base.
Perhaps you've been very successful getting good support for minor issues. I've had horror stories where they literally refused to do anything to help. Take for instance when I was stuck in the crash loop. (this still hasn't bee...
They'll support it to a point. When the software hurts a minority don't expect them to jump through hoops to fix it even if you're a paying subscriber.
The MMO customer service for FF11 a harsh reality that unlike most customer services they *don't* go the extra mile to help the customer be happy. If you have a problem they could take months or longer to resolve it. They could careless if you quit 90% of the time.
This is fact. don't belie...
They've already figured out a way to sell games at Gamestop etc. The retailer has the games in digital encoded format on a local server. When the user purchases a license the data is locked to that owners account and transferred to a usb or hdd device.
Once the data is completed they take it home and install it there. Each copy created is digitally linked to the retailer system that sold it, the user account it was created for, and the first unit it's installed on. Th...
GT3-4 on the laser media made my machine run in over time. The data that's loaded on GT's isn't one or 2 files. This makes it hard to optimize the data on the drive. Nt only does each track need fetced the cars need loaded etc.
@Playerz8 Do you really want your Blu-ray drive working like mad to load every single track to the HDD? All that wear and tear on a a drive every time you load a track, do time test or modifications?
It emulates 6 port hub and at one point tricks the unit into thinking a Sony jig is installed. This code is a finger print much like someone stealing your credit card number. It's illegal to use someones credit card number without authorization.
Sony can claim the identify code is proprietary sensitive digital data. They can also claim the software is created using the licensed Sony SDK.
Unlimited Saga unless they make it better.

They won't stop there. The next step will be selling game licenses. You see how Software companies sell software. Most software is limited to one computer per license or one installed session at a time.
That's why developers are pushing for download only markets. When you purchase that software it's linked to your account and you can't really trade it. If they start selling disc like one user PC software it could impact the used game market.

When you see a target defeated it's X'ed out. A target that isn't is O k..
Like in Uncharted 2 the X over a user means they was killed or knocked out. I can see what X normal would mean no and O would mean yes but if you look at it from this perspective the buttons can still work.
Circle = Open, No, or Deny
Cross = Closed, Yes, or Confirm
Most of the gear you get takes months or years to get. Everything in the game is about time syncs. Recently they've started these trail systems where you spend grueling hours doing limit time events just to get a few buffs on the gear.

The last update they gave for FF11 they managed to wreck a lot PS2 cut scenes. Stuff that used to work suddenly hard (black screen of death) crashes on multiple ps2's & BC, PS3's from multiple locations and setups.
I'm not talking about memory issues that can be solved with a simple reboot. Some of their CS's load when you zone to an area. If the CS happens to be one of these when you log back on using a PS2/PS3 the CS automatically loads and crashes over ...
From my understanding current firmware logs what the user does so just using this program gets logged already.
The PS3 remembers the last program loaded. In fact if you read the terms of service it states this in the PSN contract. If you look at Wii it logs the user but doesn't hide it.

All those days of seeing Pacman as a family friendly type. If I saw this thing on the side of the game I'd have nightmares. I'd be rooting for the ghost.
Made the FF11 fees directly linked to FF14 if you have FF11 account you get credit for FF14 provided only one of them is online at a time. No reason to pay for 2 MMOs when they're trying to get people to convert. The best way to do that is allow people the freedom to go to either without costing them extra.
The one where anytime you play games you must be online. I'd hate my PS3 to need a constant online connection to play any games.
This is already causing a customers to scramble. A minority of users are using US accounts from outside the US or vice-versa. This new system apparently denys accounts to be accessed outside their territory. If You're in the military and your IP isn't based from the US on a US account, you move to another location or are visiting another regain you can't access your content.
What also might happen is the change over from billing through playonline to the Square-En...
