Them announcing that the Halo Reach is no longer being Xbox 360 exclusive.

That would be a bomb announcement. I doubt it would happen though. Don't take this as a serious comment revolving around personal fulfillment or wishful thinking. It's just a true representation of what actually popped in my head. I'm rather neutral about the whole concept anyway.

Edit: For the persons that agreed or disagreed. This comment is about "My first thoughts" it's not a rep...

If they can't fix it through firmware then it's an issue that was there when you bought the product. If they can't fix it through an update a lot of people will be very upset and a recall lawsuit will be issued.

Sony can't really tell everyone hay, your warranty is out so you have to pay us. The problem was probably a hidden flaw in their hardware that existed before your warranty ran out. Just like the RROD's the hardware issue existed before the units shipped.

The PS3's clocks seem to work in conjunction with the DMC. In anycase I think I understand what this issue is. You all know that the PS3 has an internal battery.

There are these things that are sold to protect passwords and such. These are called *securekeys*. They work by an internal clock that gets synchronized when the unit first loads up. With the PS3 this code would be started as soon as the system first powers on.

The problem might be that because the date chan...

I hope what you're saying is accurate.

It's definitely a hardware issue. >.<

The CMOS is totally corrupted the leap year glitch is in the clock and it affect everything that uses the proprietary DRM that Sony has installed. The only thing that seems to work is when people reset the CMOS.

You can't even set the clock through the internet.

I heard that some people have figured a way to fix it by removing the CMOS chips to clear out the chips.

going into system disabling Internet under the menu? If it still doesn't work then there is a software design issue in that game.

The internet enable is there so a PS# can be turned off completely from internet connections. Even when you boot up don't sign in the PS3 connects out to update some features.

These are automatic and don't require signing in to PSN. The new quick start menu, the ticker and the internet time sync. All connect by default. I'm not sure but I...

" * IP history for the lifetime of the gamertag (only one gamertag at a time)

If your investigation involves a stolen Xbox console, if the console serial number or Xbox LIVE user gamertag is provided and the console has been connected to the Internet, IP connection records may be available."

This proves MS can track stolen Xbox 360's that go online. It's my understanding that the PS3 has this too.

I doubt anyone has used these tracking feature...

The original unmodified PS2 GTA factory sealed disk. The one before the hot coffee code was removed. I wonder if that'll be worth anything some day?

It does have a historic reference to gaming history.

I assume that a lot of them are 5ms to 10ms in range. The really goods ones are far below 4 ms latency.

With the response lag combined to this screen lag the difference can be amplified significantly. I would assume the average gamer would want to reduce as much latency as possible in their configurations just to have acceptable performance. I assume that if I combine the sum of all latency in a standard home setup it won't be acceptable with this level of lag.

A lot of the OS that wasn't optimized could slowly have been shifted out of ram and into a system HDD swap file right? From my understanding a lot of the those features could be shifted out of main memory. This would of course slow things down if the OS needed to move them into main memory.

I assume that the original footprint kept the entire OS in RAM and was later optimized. I can also assume that some of the RAM was reserved by Sony at the beginning for future updates but late...

The buttons where invisible in the battle modes. Notice they where cut off?

I can't assume anything but the last two news stories about faked shots and excuses from Square Enix makes me want to pay closer attention to these vs previews.

If you all recall, the first images sent to reviewers where apparently 360 menus pasted on top of PS3 gaming screen shots. The second one was of screen shot that had a mouse cursor in it. Then SE's response was rather opps we made a m...

DRM is supposed to combat Piracy. There are several PS3 games that I own who use this DRM to protect the game saves. It's stupid because you can't keep the work you've earned in the game.

What does someone think players are going to sale game saves for $$? All they need to do in those cases is link those saves to the user accounts. No need to copy protect saves. The only thing that needs copy protected in saves is the ability to edit the data. This can be achieved by encrypting t...

Regardless of what side was right or wrong.

A good mod should never publicly single out anyone in a public channel. To do their job they only need to reprehend the offenders through private channels.

Look at N4G, You don't see the mods commenting on every post that was modded right?

Example: someone makes a fanboy comment in open zone on N4G. We don't see MODs posting under the moderated comment. "Guys if I see any more of these fanboy comments like...

I couldn't find this Tech but wow this would be something I'd patent by all means.

What if an "Embossing LED color touch screen" was on the market. Take a look at this image. This is a Touch Sense camera. Just think if that screen was a full color LED touch screen as well. The screen itself could create buttons on top of the surface so the user could both see and feel the image. So if the LED screen drew digital buttons on it that part of the screen would be slightly em...

Every time they've done FF remakes they've changed things like the story or left the engines outdated with added movies.

What hurt FFX-2 was the changes in how gameplay was different from FFX. A game just isn't just a good story. It's also about having good game mechanics.

With all the MMO's flooding the market a developer needs more then a brand name or franchise to keep them afloat. The extra effort in the product must stand out above the competition. It must maintain a loyal user base to support it.

One could only imagine how well the Star Trek MMO would have fared if it wasn't based on Star Trek but something like Star Ship Troopers. It's no denying that the MMO and gaming industry market is full of competition these days. If a developer can't ...

SE is not willing to invest that much time or resources into a remake. Sony or MS needs to fund it's production completely.
