I'll tell you whats going on here. In the past on PS2 there where features introduced that allowed faster data transfer for ps1 games. What happened was the issue of to much data getting transferred.

That's right to much data to fast.

In cases like final fantasy 8 in the school when they was walking down the isle the game would finish the scene before the animations took place. The designers didn't anticipate faster data throughput. They crated th...

20 looks okay, almost fits just squashed and the cosplayer needed a little more digital or cell frame effect.

15* Is hard to tell who is the cosplayer it's a winner!

16 looks fair.

The rest haha..

25 Link looks like he's past his prime and perhaps drunken disorderly version. Guess who was drinking to much milk after fending off the cows from aliens.

The reason most of these guys write like this is to attract hits. What do you think gets the most hits a site that spits out flat news general or one that spits out news with a lot of people criticizing the writers views.

Just look at N4g. Most people get upset when a fan war erupts. People complain about the "OMG this is flame bait etc" but, you know those always attract the largest comments and people keep coming back. It's like addicts complaining about how d...

I don't know. I like the cloud but what if I don't want pluss. Will all games suddenly start being locked? I hope all the saves don't start getting protected, already gaming device manufactures are trying to lock everything down so much we can't even backup all the ligament stuff we earned. When I play games I want to think my progress will be someplace backed up. With cloud it might get erased if i'm no longer a pluss member.

To much cloud seems just as b...

Actually, connections are made regardless if you log on to PSN or not. I found this out the other day when my internet was down and I was connected to the network. Try and shut your PS3 down with an internet router attached that can't call out. It tries for like 1 min to connect out before shutting down off even, before popping up the "Would you like to turn off PS3 YES/NO?" message.

If it's signed content, it simply lets the software load up. If the hardware thinks it's legitimate no need to bypass anything because the security lets it run when you have keys.

IMHO: If you walk up to a random house door pick up a rock and find a house key that unlocks the door your still gaining unauthorized entry.

I'm on the fence here.

Now, if it's those 3rd party hardware dongles that bypassed security by *breaking* it ...

Well well well..

Wouldn't it be interesting if Sony had a second root key that's been inactive since day one hiding behind this part of the system?

If that was the case activating it with firmware could introduce another line of defense for future products with updated firmware requirements. The old stuff would still work but with a firmware update this second key would suddenly be used in conjunction for the new stuff.

With new softw...

You do realize that they posted the security weaknesses one by one. They may have cracked the system but by announcing it Sony knows what they did wrong.

The systems had DRM since the start called PROTECTED game saves.

I want an app that can backup protected game saves and transfer them legitimately for myself to any PS3 I can choose.

I want an app that allows me PS2 BC even on a slim.

Seriously, these things where done more to protect the developers interest then the legitimate users. I don't care about losing trophies. The stupid DRM was there from the start and when my consoles went to ...

There are just to meny MMO's out there to release a bad launch and try to ride the brand name. SE is used to doing it their way with long time players. When it comes to players just starting out they aren't as inclined to keep interested with false promises and shoddy workmanship. Either you do it right starting out or the competitor will eat you no matter how much money you throw at a project.

I hope they remove the save game locks. The game really doesn't need them if there is no online support. The game save locks are to keep people from cheating online.

As for paying, why not let people host their own servers or use the peer to peer server system?

I speak from experience, FFXI has been recently updated and the game crashes in older parts on the consoles. I have yet to see any acknowledgment of the problems.

Refusal to admit to the serious issues.
Refusal to fix incompatibility caused by updates.

As a paying subscriber, I decided to write Sony directly about the software compatibility problems.

These issues aren't exactly FF14 directly, but in comparison it's the same co...

I agree, when is it to hard. Look at Demons Souls. Just think if every boss and or NPC had that level of AI after the 1st game. The ability for other players to gank you mid level was a good alternative to intelligent adaptive AI.

That lead guy looks sort of like Zak or a relative. The world also looks sorta like the FF7 universe post apocalypse IMHO. Holding back for the fans just brings more attention to it. It looks really good and I'm impressed so far, I wasn't so much for ff13 even before all the multi controversy.

Some of these environmental problems such as ozone depletion are starting to reverse. It's not all of them some are still getting worse. The guys creating these advertisements don't realize the earth is could be in for something far more horrible. The sun is changing so weather will slowly heat up eventually.

It's a given that the sun is due for a massive solar flare sometime between now and 2011+. If or when this happens there won't be anymore internet, hardl...

"Jump in" is a Microsoft slogan for 360. Using that for a PS3 is an oxymoron of slogans.

I think you confused it with "Play Beyond" or that was intentional.

... (sigh)

Anyway, I hope it's something cool like online save backups or cloud services that allow anyone to play locked saves too and from any PS3.

Doesn't the psn+ stuff they give away get disabled if the users cancel it?

This could be a way to keep people paying the service.

They are gonna announce the new Wii controller that includes the extra motion sensors. They've been hiding them from the public for a while.

I see what you're saying , yes it's a double standard when you explain it like that. Your first post didn't explain what the double standard was. This I agree entirely.

It seems a rule of thumb stands where the public is intolerant of recent tragedies. They need at least 20 years before society tolerates them enough to avoid wide spread disapproval.

From my understanding a few large retailers refused to stock or sell this game. From a busyness prospective if the retailers and shops won't sell your product the it loses possible sales. They're making games to sell for a profit not their ability express creative freedom.

Retailers have a right to choose what products they sell and if they choose to not sell your product you lose sells. If this is because some minor name change in playable character names then the sm...
