I say keep selling them with levels of difficulty that can be changed on the fly. That way everyone can choose how hard/easy they want to play the game.

The problem is some companies fail to recognize difficulty. sometimes easy is still hard where hard is crazy vs hard is extremely easy.

Some players just want to have fun and get through the game story while others want to experience the thrill of hard mode.

I spoke about a balanced system that made the games first launch digital only at 80% retail cost. There would still be demo disc that had the full downloads on them costing $5-10 just not the retail full game. This would just allow people with slow Internets to buy the digital version in the online store without needing a to use a lot of bandwidth downloading it.

After the digital version sells like this for 3 months the retail version comes out with the full package disc, bo...

Graphics aren't everything that make a great game. Games are like books. You can put pretty pictures in them or have awesome covers for them but in reality it's the story and how entertaining they are that wins in the end. Everything else is just EYE CANDY.

I've seen some AWESOME looking game animations movies and soundtracks in games. These games look or awesome visually but play like horrible Battlefield Earth movies.

Just remember games that lo...

Can't the dev kit read burned CD's or something. If I recall some of the DRM and internal hardware is more open to hacks because they can debug them while the project is running.

IE: in the dev kit you can run debug mode and find exploits in the OS and firmwares. They aren't standard consoles they have unique debugging that allows developers to look deep into their code running.

Not sure about this but there are reasons these systems are so expens...

@Nevers I hope your right. My comment isn't only about the gaming experience it's also about the internal policies. Something most people don't recognize until after they've directly dealt with support.

It's not merely doom and gloom it's about personal experiences that I've become accustomed to when dealing with the company in general. Your experiences may differ, If you've had no bad experiences congratulations you're one of the lucky one...

You never know. Initially the PS3 phat was tested by players in a heated areas by testers. The company was applauded by the systems ability to remain stable in a heated area, cooled area.

One of the public speakers for Sony even spoke up about the systems durability from the consumer test. This was around the tie Xbox was having the RROD issues.

A few months later a small percentage of PS3's started failing and they where considered YLOD.

They really haven't learned their lesson. If you've been watching the older FF11 you'd see it's not doing a good job. It's old yes but they aren't investing in keeping the customer base as much as they should.

There are a lot of empty promises that never got fulfilled. Whats worse is the developers are adding new things in the older game that push some MMO players away instead of fixing what is broken.

They've been back sliding wit...

When you buy a book or DVD movie and watch it. If you decide to sell it or trade them in for money that's your right. What the person who bought it from you decides to do with it that's their right.

The product was already bought. Unless they continue to put one time codes on each disc or make the software LICENSES like Microsoft and digital downloads the data on the disc is mostly transferable.

Remember, when people trade/sell their games they aren&#...

From the looks of it it seems that the new direction is more a multimedia entertainment station and less of a gaming console.

Don't take this lightly it reminds me of those games dish network tried to sell to customers over their DVR players. You know the ones that are like old java and flash based games.

This is how I feel the company is headed to less hardcore and more simplistic multimeada system.

Instead of the console being developed...

This is a good comment I agree with. The only problem is the WAL-O-TEXT. You should try and space your sentences at least a little.

The truth is Microsoft has been living in a relatively powerful position the past 30 years. They've all but tried to dominate the market so they could influence their agendas on it.

Let's look at the following.

We have the OS, the web browser, the game system, the mobile devices, and their search engine B...

MikeMyers I don't see what your issue is. You're telling these guys :

MikeMyers >>>
"So I'm not sure why you two keep feeling the need to constantly repeat yourselves, write blogs, and carry on all day. At the end of the day you have one consumer right, not to buy the Xbox One if you don't want it."

People and politicians are busy arguing this isn't a big deal because it has been known about for some time -- even though that apathy in the face of existing facts is precisely why we should be annoyed.

Damn that's news to me. I just found out. I assume this was announced a few hours ago. Since it's not BC that makes it less attractive.

Anyway, my main point is/was that MS has a goal to dominate after their 3rd gen.

After watching the reveal I came to the conclusions that it's more or less a PC like media center with proprietary software that plays games.

Some of the features are impressive but that's not really what makes good...

I remember reading somewhere that MS had set goals for 3 generations.

1st XBOX survive the market.
2nd XBOX 360 become a major player.
3rd XBOX ONE dominate the gaming market.

Did they accomplish any of this. Up until the second gen I think they did. The third gen goal is up for grabs. It seems a lot of people are hating on this new XBOX.

Don't get me wrong, the only Xbox I ever touched was one that was sent to me by mista...

You know what gets me? People talk about death penalty but if someone WANTS to commit suicide there are laws in place to try and stop them.

People who offer assisted suicide would also be given the a death penalty. Why do you think so many people do suicide by cop now days? Sometimes not killing people is more of a punishment.

Horrible punishment give the guy a PS3 but only let him play goober games.

Not only does the government pay for pris...

I see the Wii sitting on my table. I have over 50 PS3 titles and only 1 purchased Wii disk game. What do I use my Wii for? NETFLIX..

IMHO Nintendo didn't do enough this gen to make Wii interesting. I'm a rabid JRPG fan like Tales of series and Grandia. They never made a Crono trigger, and the only Tales game I bought was a flop.

I doubt Wii U will far any better then the Wii did for me so I chose not to buy it.

He still has all those other obsolete consoles. I doubt he'd really bury it if he still has the original NES and other old console in his arsenal.

There is a cheap free Sim City clone out there if you want a fix. It's like 10-$20 without all the anti-piracy and limitation fondling.

It was made for because romantic types wrote in to complain about the ending and wanted a sub story to end the sad fate at the end of X.

This is why it was more on the chick level. Just write SE and find out the truth. Then look at the story's main plot. If you manage to get 100% then you can unlock something romantic.
