Mass Effect 2 is simply one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.
As far as the subject of this article, I like what Videogamer said in their review of Mass Effect 2:
"We're trying desperately to think of something to moan about, just so this review doesn't sound too much like a Mass Effect love-in, but we can't. The side missions are a bit abrupt. The game still takes too long to load. And your party members will occasionally get in your line of sig...
Nice fanboy blog.
You're lying, Red Panda. I have seen your comments and you are a hardcore PS3 fanboy. Everything you say is pro-PS3 and anti-360. You are just trying to spread FUD.
The RROD is no longer an issue. Reports now put the failure rate under 5%.
And you think Sony's price cuts haven't been desperate? Seriously now. Talk about fanboys in denial.
Let's not forget the PS3, which after only 3 years on the market was already only half the cost that it originally launched at.
The 360 launched at $399 and for a comparable 360 with a hard drive it is now $299.
I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing the huge desperate price cuts that you and Saaking are. Well, maybe for the PS3...
With all the price cuts the Sony has given the PS3 and how big those price cuts have collectively been I don't see how anyone could have the audacity to act like Microsoft have been desperate with their price cuts.
All consoles get price cuts throughout their lifecycles.
But price cuts are not why the 360 continues to sell. The 360 continues to sell because it is a powerful console with the most developed and feature rich online service, the largest catalog of games...
The game already looks really impressive. Especially when you consider how destructible the environments are.
Yeah, but when Microsoft acknowledge their competitors and simply say that they think their product is better (which like you say is exactly what you would expect a company to say) they get tons of hate from the PS3 camp. That is what people are referring to as the double standard.
Sony was essentially giving a back handed compliment.
"Darksiders, Dragon Age Origins, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bionic Commando, Terminator Salvation, Wanted, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge"
Most of those games are all examples of games that either had trade offs on each platform or were clearly better on the 360.
Dragon Age had better texture filtering on the PS3, but it had anti-aliasing and a better frame rate on the 360.
Batman AA was actually somewhat better on the 3...
"The ps3 is still the king of graphics this generation"
That's silly. It would be like saying the 360 was the king of graphics this generation after Gears of War or Gears of War 2 came out. They were both considered the best looking games at the time by many people. But the generation is far from over. You don't just stop in the middle of the generation and proclaim one console the victor.
In any case, what's the point of arguing? PS3 fans think all PS...
I recently went back to playing Bioshock and it shocked me how good it looked. I kind of forgot how impressive its graphics were and even though I have been playing graphical marvels like Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 I still thought the visuals in Bioshock were quite nice. If they improve the visuals a bit I could see it easily being one of the better looking games this year.
You are probably right about that. I am expecting the next Xbox to be released sometime around 2012.
You are a liar and a fool.
Just because people can get it on the PC doesn't mean that people will. Not everybody is as mindless in their hatred of the 360 as you are. You are thinking like a droid, not like a regular sane person deciding on how they can play a game that interests them. The 360 is going to be the best decision for a lot of people.
The current failure rate is under 5% according to studies carried out by Square Trade, so quit lying through your t...
I don't believe even half of you PS3 fanboys really have PCs. Sorry, I don't.
And for people without a 360 or a PC I guarantee that many people will opt for the more affordable console over the more costly gaming PC.
Lots of people use a family computer that is shared among all the members of the family and can't be taken over for gaming. Other people use laptops or netbooks to get on the internet. Some people have desktop PCs but they are outdated and would make horr...
@ MetalGearRising
I know that PS3 fans say such ridiculous things all the time and that makes you want to do the same right back at them, but don't stoop to their level.
The PC is potentially far more powerful than either the 360 or the PS3.
@agent027
The PS3 is not superior to the 360, sorry to burst your bubble.
How could it sell systems? Are you dense?
If a person wants the game and they are deciding between a 200 or 300 dollar console and a 600 or 700 dollar PC I am sure quite a lot of people will opt for the much cheaper console.
I know that hurts your stupid fanboy pride, but get over it.
No, the PC does count and real PC gamers will enjoy this great game. It's just that all these fake PS3 fanboy pretending to own gaming PCs will not enjoy it.
Yeah yeah yeah PS3 fanboy, we know.
I guess you didn't notice that there are many games only available on the 360 and not on the PC or PS3.
Exactly. It is the developer that pushes the console and either creates something beautiful or something more average.
The PS3 has ostensibly been tapped out, even by Naughty Dog's own admission, but with new programming techniques I am sure there will be future Ps3 games that squeeze a bit more out.
The Xbox 360 is no different. In fact, there have never really been any developers that have pushed it as hard as the PS3 has been pushed by Naughty Dog and Guerrilla....
