Yeah, it just so happens to go towards the 360 over 90% of the time.
Even the games PS3 fanboys try to say are better on the PS3, like Burnout Paradise or Dragon Age, you actually find out are exactly equal (Burnout Paradise) or they are a wash like Dragon Age which has better textures in some places on the PS3 versions, but the 360 version has a somewhat better framerate and 2xMSAA (PS3 version has no anti-aliasing).

Maybe if you don't have anything to compare it to. Was it playable? Yes, but it was definitely a far cry from the 360 version. Reduced texture resolution throughout, more aliasing, more screen tearing, more slowdown, blurrier, lower quality shadows...I mean, the list just goes on and on.

This is why I get my multiplatform games on the 360. Time and time again we see the 360 versions looking and performing better. I've done a lot of comparisons myself either using demos or borrowing copies from friends and the differences are often quite noticeable. Hardly the minuscule difference that some of the PS3 fanboys above are trying to tell you it is.

Totally agree. Once you take the time to learn Halo there is so much nuance and strategy and depth to the gameplay. That finely tuned gameplay is at the core of what makes Halo such a beloved franchise. Plus, it's just so much damn fun!
The detail in many of those screenshots is simply awesome. These are definitely of a higher quality than the ones we saw before and they look even more impressive.

Seriously? Did you just say that? God of War 2 looks better than any Xbox game? Damn, talk about detached from reality. God of War 2 looked like a pretty PS2 game, but a PS2 game nonetheless. It had great art direction, but in technical terms it wouldn't stand up to anything but the most mediocre Xbox games. Games like Doom 3, Chronicles of Riddick, Halo 2, and Otogi were far more graphically advanced than GOW 2. It's not even close.

The Halo Reach shots are definitely pre-alpha, but I'm almost certain the Killzone 2 shot is not pre-alpha. That Killzone 2 screenshot was put on the site on January 29, 2009, which is just before the game came out, so I seriously doubt that was a pre-alpha screenshot. Even if it was a pre-alpha build, so what? The Halo Reach screenshots are also pre-alpha. It is clear that Halo Reach simply has noticeably higher graphical fidelity.

Reserving final judgment for, well, the final game is all fine and dandy, but claiming that you see no upgrade based on the screenshots we have seen is simply disingenuous. Either that or you are blind and therefor have no business being concerned about a game's graphics.

Mass Effect 2 has quite a few reviews now and quite a few people are playing early copies and they reaction from nearly everyone is universally positive.

I know it will be one of my favorite games. Mass Effect 1 already felt like the pinnacle of action RPG gaming for me and I have no doubt Bioware have elevated this one to the next level. I simply can't wait.

Every game is a system seller to one degree or another. Every title, no matter how average its scores, will push somebody over the edge to get a console. The only question is how many consoles will a game help sell.
So, this idea that a game is 'either a system seller or its not' is a comletely erroneous way of looking at things...
