It is seriously some impressive tech. I have no doubt that Halo Reach will be one of the most impressive looking games when it comes out.
It is easy to see that what we saw in the trailer is the same as in the screenshots and seeing it in motion leaves no doubt in my mind that it will be right up there with the best of them.
That's because you are a blind PS3 fanboy. I bet you are one of those fanboys that thinks God of War 3 looks amazing and so much better than everything else, right?
These aren't the best quality screenshots, but it still looks outstanding.

You say it doesn't have enough vegetation? Well, it has a hell of a lot more vegetation that Killzone 2, so I don't know what your point is. About the most vegetation I have seen in Killzone 2 are some 6 inch plants on the ground.
I don't know what kind of filter they passed these screenshots through, but the shots in the magazine look much better than these.
Dustgavin, you can come up with your own little biased standards for success, but the fact remains that the 360 still has the same lead over the PS3 as it did when the PS3 came out. That alone is a huge success. The Xbox 360 has hugely expanded the Xbox brand market share, while at the same time the PS3 has lost a huge amount of market share compared to past Playstation consoles.
Yeah about half or more of the games I want are multiplats.

Seriously, that is the most absurd, off the wall thing anybody could say. The lighting, textures and effects are all much more advanced in Dante's Inferno. You guys haven't even played through Dante's Inferno, you are basing everything on what you saw in the demo.

But it is a moot point anyway because Bungie has said that Halo Reach will be native 720p.
360 pixels? Try 1,152,000. That is the real difference in the number of pixels between 720p and 1080p. 1080p has more than twice the number of pixels. [1920 x 1080 = 2073600] [1280 x 720 = 921600]
TotalPS3Fanboy is being a bit ridiculous. I doubt if he went and bought what he thought was a 1080p tv only later finds out that it only had 1080 vertical lines of resolution and a horizontal resolution much lower than 1920 that he would be perfectly fine with it. Yeah right.

Uncharted 2 was further along and was near release so of course outlets were going to focus more on it. Alan Wake still has time to shine.
Alan Wake was a runner up on several of those lists. Lot's of previews I have read also mention how amazingly good Alan Wake looks.
I don't know if it is going to ultimately top Uncharted 2 or not, but all I know is that those newer videos look amazing and I think it will definitely be one of the best looking games around. ...

Personally, aliasing is one of the most bothersome things about many console games today. The less of it the better.
I would take better anti-aliasing over a higher resolution any day.
