That's true, but that doesn't stop people from judging Crysis 2's graphics. What's more, Killzone 3 comes out in February, while Crysis 2 comes out in March.
jambabie69, I agree with every point you made. Frankly, I am baffled by Microsoft's actions over the past few years. Hopefully they get back on track. At this point, however, I'm not sure they will.
I was wrong. I actually watched the video this time instead of just looking at the screenshots and there has definitely been a graphical downgrade. I don't know why they would do that. It's pretty noticeable. The textures seem lower resolution, the aliasing is worse, and the frame rate seems worse. The first Dead Rising definitely looked better.
Come on guys, I stick up for the 360 when it's unfairly being attacked, but blaming this on the PS3 doesn't make sense. The PS3 has proven itself to be an extremely powerful console if approached the right way.
I don't think they look that different anyway. There has been a slight change in the art direction and they have perhaps made a few subtle changes to handle the increased enemy count, but all in all it looks about the same level of graphical fidelity.
What's impressive about Sony's PS3 exclusives is that many of them actually almost look like CGI graphics anyway.

I love the Yakuza games. We are getting so many good exclusives for our PS3s, it's amazing.
I don't find it any easier to get through current games than games in the past. I recently blew through all three of the old NES Ninja Gaiden games in two days. It took me literally like 2 hours to beat the entire first Ninja Gaiden. That game was always considered hard. God of War 3 took me a lot longer than that and pushed my skills farther. That goes for lots of games.
I honestly think some of you are viewing the past through rose-tinted glasses. I have lived thr...
Nah, I don't agree. I loved the PS1 and I played games like MGS, Wipeout and Tenchu to death, but the N64 and Saturn were big disappointments to me. I loved Super Mario 64, Goldeneye and Starfox, but most of the games on the N64 weren't that great in my opinion.
This generation blows away every past generation. The only past generation I feel nostalgia about was the NES generation. Ahh...great times. But this generation is still better when you take away the nost...
In my opinion this has been the best generation by far. Never before have we had three strong competitors in the console arena fighting for our gaming dollar. Never before have we had the breadth and the quality of games that we do now.
I think some people look at the past through rose-tinted glasses and they remember it better than it actually was.
Everybody is better this generation than last generation. Sony is better without a doubt. The quality of ga...
There have been lots of games on the 360 that have been successes that haven't been shooters. Fable 2, Mass Effect 2 and Forza 3 have both done really well and there have been others too.
Still, Halo Reach is really only the second full Halo game this generation. Then there was ODST which was kind of a side story to Halo 3.
But when you consider the PS3 came out later than the 360 and we are already up to like 4 Ratchet & Clanks, 3 Motor Storms, 3 Uncharteds (soon), 3 Resistances, etc. I think hating on Halo and calling it milked is a bit hypocritical.
We're not getting Mass Effect 1 on the PS3 because Microsoft published it. I can guarantee that Microsoft publishing this game it will never show up on the PS3.
Bungie has also said that their multiplatform title is headed for next generation consoles, not this generation.
Amazing stuff.
I loved this video: http://www.youtube.com/watc... It made me laugh.
Disc scratching has never happened to me either. Not once.
I read the article and they didn't pick a victor. They just laid out the features of each console and said it really comes down to what you are looking for. I liked that non-biased approach. I take the same approach when people ask me which console is better. I say "well, that depends..." and then I start asking them about their needs and interests.
Well anyway good article.
This article was pure fanboy drivel.
DropDeadFred, you have to be the biggest moron on this site. All you post is trollish comments.
Yeah me too. I've only ever owned one Xbox 360.
I still play Killzone 2 to this day, but I have to admit the graphics in KZ3 don't look like they have improved. This multiplayer level that they have shown actually looks worse to me than some of the levels in Killzone 2.
