You guys do realize the same thing could be said about almost any game. If you want to be picky enough there is always some previous, obscure example you can dig up to make a game seem unoriginal, even if the combination of features had never been seen before and genuinely felt fresh at the time.
Pick the most original game you can think of and I guarantee I can tear it apart and make it seem derivative.
Guys, in my opinion Halo Reach looks good, as in better than most multiplats, but it still isn't to the level of Killzone 2 or Crysis 2. That doesn't mean that the graphics aren't good or that the game won't be really enjoyable.
There is a bit of input lag in the controls, but it isn't a big deal and I personally adapted to it. They have fixed it for Killzone 3 anyway.
Yeah, I loved Killzone 2 and it looks like they have really improved things for Killzone 3.
Sheesh, I know you are joking but people place way too much importance on resolution. There are a dozen other things that are more important. There are full-HD games that look softer than sub-HD games, and there are also sub-HD games that look as crisp and detailed as any full-HD game.
Now, when I say full-HD usually for this generation of console games that means 720p. And when I say sub-HD I am still talking about games that are above the standard definition format of 48...
"As it is, both demos operate at the same rendering resolution: 1024x720, with 2x multi-sampling anti-aliasing."
They are running at the same resolution. I did find that in order to get the brightness to match I had to raise the PS3 version's brightness +1 or lower the 360 version's brightness -1. This resulted in very similar brightness and contrast levels.
According to their analysis the 360 version has a slightly more solid frame rate, ...
They did a really good job in making them as close to possible. What I noticed is that the 360 version looked slightly crisper, but I did detect some very minor screen tearing in the part where you begin. For most of the demo the screen tearing is not present and the difference in the crispness of the image quality was also very minor. This is truly a good buy on either console based on what I experienced in the demo. I'll be getting it for PS3 since I want to play more multiplatform ...
Umm...because I had more problems with my PS2s than with my 360. I had two PS2s die on me which Sony would not fix even though there was a known problem with them. I had one RROD, which Microsoft fixed for free, and have never had another problem with it since. Oh and my original Xbox still works to this day.
Some of you guys sound extremely biased and one sided.
You do know that anybody could make an equally long list of YLOD PS3 failure videos, right?
Those other services aren't as good either.
It's like saying "why should I pay for WOW when there are other MMOs that are free?"
Xbox LIVE is one model and PSN is another.
As soon as I can send voice messages, cross chat and move from game to game with my friends in a party then I will really start bitching about paying for xbox live, but for now PSN doesn't allow me to do those things. They aren't equal.
Yeah, I'd like to see what kind of cable or internet you can get for $60 a year.
I'm downloading both versions of the demo right now. I never trust screenshot comparisons. Especially if they come from forum posters.
Screenshots are the worst way to compare games. Let's face it, most games allow you to change the brightness, but what really separates most multiplatform games is how they run. Screen tearing and frame rate aren't determinable by screenshots.
That's good news. I'm downloading both versions of the demo as we speak. I will see if it turns out to be true.
The price is the same. The wireless controller + play and charge kit has always been $65. IF you had a problem with it you should have been complaining a long time ago, not now.
Besides, it's not like it is that much more than any other controller out there. $50 for a PS3 controller that has a batter with a limited lifespan and when its dead it's dead. If you want to play while you are charging the PS3 controller you will also need to buy a longer USB cable.
If you had a problem with the price you should have been complaining before, not when they improve the controller and sell it for the same price.
Who looks down at their controller when they need to push a button? We all know which buttons are which. I like this controller. I think I will definitely pick one up around Christmas.
I don't see any noticeable issues with the PS3 version, which is a big relief. Things like screen tearing or major slow down take me out of a game. I didn't see any of that.
Everything I have seen about the single player portion of Dead Space 2 looks amazing. If they are indeed adding multiplayer I trust that they have still created a fantastic single player experience.
Those games were not as good in my opinion.
