I am so excited by the idea of getting to play two of my favorite games in HD and with better framerates and with trophies.
I had a big smile on my face when it was leaked that this collection was coming. I absolutely love Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Very appreciated, Sony/Team Ico.
The same as people that don't get Uncharted 2 online. I tell them "oh well, you are missing out". It's addictive and fun.
It's fine if you just don't like it, but it sounds like you have some kind of pent up hatred of the game. I don't get that. If I don't like a game I just ignore it. I certainly don't waste my time trolling articles about it. That to me says that something else is motivating your comments.
You clearly haven't read any of the reviews. Most of the reviews I have read have praised the visuals and said that they are big improvement over Halo 3.
The gameplay isn't the same. Of course much of the core Halo gameplay is there because if it wasn't it wouldn't be Halo. That said, the addition of the new abilities and weapons makes the gameplay quite different.

GT5 definitely isn't innovating any more than Halo Reach is. They are both longstanding franchises that have added new features, polish and content, but of course are not total reinventions of the genre.

I agree. I don't know why people bring up unrelated games in a Halo Reach review article. Seijoru did the same thing at the top of the comments when he/she brought up ME2 and Uncharted 2.

No, this is actually very good for Sony. Remastering these games in HD with better framerates and trophies does take some work, but it doesn't take anywhere near as much work as it does to make a new game from the ground up.
Not only will the collection likely sell very well and make them a good amount of profit to invest in new games, but it will also serve as a kind of advertisement for the upcoming Team Ico game, The Last Guardian.
This is such great news. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are two of the best games I played last generation. I still have SOTC, but sadly I no longer own Ico. I would love to own remastered versions of these two masterpieces. This will be a day 1 buy without a doubt.

Bias isn't a given just because a site is focused on one platform. Likewise, impartiality isn't guaranteed just because a site covers multiple platforms.
It's best to look at the overall arch of reviews that a game is getting and then decide if it sounds like a game that you would enjoy. In the end reviews are only a rough guide. The opin...

I'm so excited for Halo Reach. I payed for release date shipping and it is supposed to be here tomorrow. It's going to be so much fun.
The graphics are really good though, so why wouldn't it deserve high marks in that area?
They are indeed masterpieces. They are two games that I don't hesitate in the slightest in applying that label.
