Then why aren't they developing proper PC games instead of these console cast offs.
It seems to be that for decent PC games now you have to steer clear of the major publishers - they're just interested in screwing console owners and the PC gets a gimped port.
Save the gaming for retards console stuff, and give us proper PC games while you still have a fan base...

Yeah there's something missing with this version of Tropico and I hope some expansion(s) can add it.
There seems to be a lack of charm or something - all the components are there but the game just isn't as fun as the previous versions.
I think part of the reason is that the game doesn't seems to have downplayed the external factors (i.e. USA vs USSR) and the political elements of that, and has instead moved to a more Sim City like management aspect.
So n...
@Ape
Maybe, when he talked about "competing" he was referring to one thing you didn't list and the one thing any video game consumer cares most about : game quality.
With the PS3 exclusive and multiplat list as it is, I think that key area is where MS can not compete... They're throwing their weight behind Natal now so I don't see that changing for a while.

Are those links to forum posts (by yet more uninformed people) supposed to be useful?
If that's the source of your information then you really are spreading FUD without a clue.

1) 2010 is not a leap year - in case you don't know, leap years are divisible by 4 but not by 100 unless also divisible by 400.
2) The leap year and time calcs are simple - a few lines of C gets you from milliseconds since 1900 to current time with time zone and leap year adjustments. Simples.
3) If the problem is with the time calc, it is a simple job for Sony to determine what will happen at midnight - if the new calculat...
Well that would be poor reasoning on the part of any MS researcher wouldn't it.
The Wii controller requires a) only arm movement and b) very small movements that can be done sitting down.
While natal will apparently only be able to interpret yor movements if you're stood in front of camera with your whole body in view (and lag while doing it).
Still, with the current crop of game demos for Natal, it'll only get played for 10 mins so I guess rearranging t...
You're probably right about that too - but this article is about Natal...

This guy just thought up the "Post-Natal Depression" line and decided to push out an article to fit his quote.... Doesn't matter it's about a year early.
@IdleLee
Boxing? Pfft. Save yourself the time (and money) and get a Wii. Boxing is fun for about 10 mins and that is with a lagless system.
As for this spin of dumping stuff to the 360 processor - well with the crappy games we've seen on Natal so far being very laggy, how much more of a graphi...
Hah - games about made up super beings preying on the little guys - but enough about GoW3!
I think this is great - 2 christian companies getting in bed together.... Hey, was lightning outside?

Well Halo sunk without a trace on PC - why would you play Halo when there are far better games on the platform? It's popular on Xbox because the Xbox 1 (and now 360) lack genuinely good exclusives. Best for Halo to stay exclusive overall.
However, I find it amusing that the implication is that the PC was somehow unusual.
The 360 is, by todays standards, a weak PC. If you have a 360 game, you can run it on a PC with nothing more than a compiler flag flick.
They might wanna hold the happiness - Gearbox had a good idea with Brothers in Arms 1 but since then haven't managed to advance the concept and the last release was poor.
There is a good game in the Aliens films somewhere, but I don't think Gearbox are the guys to find it.

Bah lag - who cares about that - I don't care if Natal manages < 1ms response since the games we've seen it used with are utter garbage.
If that's your thing be my guest, but yet more Wii style mini games that were done 4 years ago is not something that interests me and given what Natal is and does it's useless for anything serious. Lag is irrelevant if no one is playing this stuff.
The thing I find amusing though is people who think Natal will be useful just as a...
Seems like a reasonable review to me - after playing the Betas/Demos on console & PC I think this score is about right.
I had it pre-ordered on PC but I'm leaning back towards a console version - this review seems to give the nod to the PS3 over 360 so I guess that's the one to get.

Wow - MS must have misheard its customers. We've been asking for decent 360 exclusives and here's what they've come up with - a bunch of Wii rip offs! Nopt only that but with so many of them being 3rd party they're probably not even exclusive - I'm so looking forward to all those Wii/360 ports...
Great :/

This application is excellent and when I first stumbled across it, and downloaded and used it around Christmas my jaw dropped at how cool it was....
Unfortunately there is one MAJOR caveat with it - it only works with a very small number of PocketBLU enabled films - for me it was Inglorious Basterds anything else it didn't work with because the film has to implement the IP based interface...
I hope such an interface could be implemented as standard but I doubt that will...
So, this is the "news" that a multi-platform game series is listed as available for multiple platforms.....
Slow news day?

My question is "The releases of SC over the last several years, across all platforms, have been pretty poor so the track record is bad.... why is this one different to the rest? Is this one going to be any good, or more shovel-ware rubbish?"
r.
Well not quite - bear in mind the BR version on PS3 has far better quality video and audio. So there's not necessarily much more quantity available, but the PS3 clearly gets more quality...
Seem to be the way this gen is playing out.

That's gonna be one expensive game when the price of a 120gb is added to it.... and having spent all that cash, you'll still end up with a poor quality port while SE and MS laugh their way to the bank....
Meh, I'd just put up with the disk swapping - yes it's like going back to CD ROM or floppy disk days, but at least MS don't get yet more of your cash on top of all the other crap.
In fact, if you don't want to relive the 90s or the 80s and avoid disk swapping, you'd be...
Actually Ubi have a track record with this stuff - previously the characters in one of their games became 2d rather than 3d amongst other unusual occurences. People reported these "bugs" only to be told they were the copy protection - cue the howls of indignation about legitimate copies etc Everyone is innocent in prison....
However, Ubi's games are so full of bugs and missing features, it's difficult to really see how pirates could be worse off than legitimate purchase...
