No. Valve isn't for sale, but even if Apple managed to find enough cash to make it possible for Valve to be bought, the talent there would leave and form another company and Apple is left with a name - see Rare as a great example of a company that is bought for it's talent which then simply moves away.

Both TFU games have been bad Star Wars game since they don't reflect the SW universe lore very well.... Saying that there ware worse games doesn;t make these two any better.
Guess it's time to accept that the days of the good SW games was the 90's and earlt 00s - since then they've become progressively less SW and more generic with SW license slapped on :/

I also don't think that 3.5 is the reason - or if it is, then PD and Sony are even less professional than I thought (and I have a pretty dim view). However, technically speaking they need to build the GT5 code with the 3.5 SDK, otherwise hacked PS3's could just skip the 3.5 firmware install and run GT5 anyway.
GT5 is a big deal for Sony so no surprise they want to protect their investment as much as possible.
But big surprise if no one at Sony/PD spot...

At first I thought Ninty were going for their price point since the hardware was so expensive they were barely making a profit thus explaining why it's a seemingly high price.
However, the specs are becoming known and the 3DS is about as powerful as a 1st Gen iPhone/iPod Touch 2G which suggests that Ninty are perhaps pumping their price a bit - certainly I'm struggling to see where the high price for the 3DS is coming from in terms of hardware.

Rubbish. GT5 is a big title in its own right and certainly not something for the non-gamers that MS is targeting with Kinect.
Either way, this is not a marketing thing - you don't get this close to release and pull the plug for something like that - stores had already advertised their midnight opening, pre-orders were in, the various packages are announced.
I imagine it's bugs that caused this delay - even now we've seen so little of the features ...

Well SOCOM was delayed but it was a bit of a surprise announcement and early release anyway.
However, GT5 has already been in the pot a long time - you have to wonder if Polyphony really have the resources to complete games in a reasonable timescale now - this is costing them and Sony a lot of money (and alienating previous fans into the bargain).
I guess we'll see what this delay is like - the original Russian source said a couple of weeks so not a major...

He is getting a lot of distraction from people around him (I note at the beginning he describes the head tracking as "brilliant").
Not only that but he's also missing the single biggest thing that would help him - the thing that drivers use the most in order to understand what the car is doing.... Proprioception. Without it, he's only got a portion of the data a driver in a real car has.
