a) When Eyetoy was first out (that's what Kinect is being compared to, it's nowhere near Move), there wasn't much in the way of media to navigate, but in game it was used to navigate things just like Kinect does.
b) XMB is the PS3's interface, Kinect can't do anything with that!
c) Kinect may let you do all those things, but it can be done MUCH faster and easier with an amazing futuristic piece of technology called..... a controller. Amzin...
Yeah, but ya know - it's been a long time, and there is an expectation that game iterations are 12 months for pro sports since EA have killed that sector, and other stuff is 2 - 3 years.
PD are a long way off the average scale with this release. They may as well give the game a new name since it's like a new IP rather than an iteration of an existing series now.

^^Indeed.
GOTY, but GOTY for which year - obvious j/k is obvious I know.
Come on Sony, let's have a firm date eh?
r.
Non-article. All we have is Kaz saying the disks are being pressed "as he spoke" yesterday.
Everything else is speculation - maybe Sony can't be sure yet because it depends on speed of pressing and shipping and they don't want to risk comitting to a date only to have to revise it again...
Either way, these guys know as much as us. I guess there may be an announcement at SEMA for the GT awards or to tie in with that later today.
^^ And God Eater I guess.

GT5 fever gripping Japan too now? Or Move maybe...

Shame if you watch it you may save some money - I figured I'd leave it to others to say what the conclusion of this review was.
I can give you a clue though - I didn't get the impression he was so excited he was off to play with it some more lol.

"It shows me how Kinect would be used in the dashboard."
You mean very slowly?
Really it would take an extremely lazy person to decide not to simply go get a controller and sit there waiting for second after every command for the 360 to do something....
@BELOW: I was talking about the voice option lol. You can't seriously suggest anyone would use the hand movement thing. haha.
r.
Really? Price is largely irrelevant to me. If I can afford it I get it, if I can't I wait until the price drops.
I picked up a used SB+controller, traded it back in about 3 months later for the same price.... I would like to have kept it, but actually the game wasn't amazing - it was fun for a while but not long and not very replayable.
would've been better on PC for mods and other games could have used the controller (which was a bit flimsy in pl...
Yep - I mean Assasins Creed is getting PSN exclusive content and Sony is making PS3 owners pay for its sevice right?
Oh.....
r.
Not really - loads of Move stuff, new Singstars for the parties and all those lovely multiplats, and a lot of cool PSN games with Dead Nation due.
Hmm did I forget something...um.... Ahhh GT5 of course.

Who?
Lolz at 1:44 is he break dancing heh

The $200 controller was the attraction since it was cool to have all those buttons to press in a somewhat "realistic" future robot combat setting (!) (and a great box too!)
SB with Kinect seems to miss the point entirely (and still costs $200!) - the fun was using the buttons and doing all that stuff - not so fun when there are no buttons, just wonky voice and gesture control.
Hopefully they'll see sense and produce a proper SB2...
Of course that's right. And it was right yesterday too hence my point...
MS have low stock at the retailers anyway, but even so the demand is low as evidenced by the in stock notice from MS themselves and the comments from that UK retailer yesterday.
I'd like to say that no one plays the Sales but in the case of Kinect, playing the sales is longer, deeper and more fun thing to do lol.
r.
Yes, but it doesn't involve compeletly ignoring the audience that bought your product already.
Not only that, but Move and Wii offer options in the game play approach so you can choose how you want to play.
According to MS, Kinect doesn't do that - only middle-aged Oprah watching Women, who are White, not wearing baggy clothing or skirts, not sitting down and with short hair can play - and they can't use any other controller while doing it.
Seems like the spiritual succesor to Carmageddon - cue green blood!
While I think this has gone a bit over the top in terms of setting (I mean the other MS's at least had a kind of illegal fest feel rather than death and destruction!) it still looks fun.
r.
So wait - yesterday when "sales" were reported as poor by a UK retailer - then they were pre-orders so no meaning.
Today when there're "sales" (but are in fact still pre-orders) this is good?
The fact is, MS haven't got a lot of stock for a worldwide launch, and yet there's still not a lot of demand.
r.
Are they bundling this with a tape measure now lol...
Maybe they should add a warning that it should only be used by those living in barns, who don't like sitting down and have a form of color blindness compatible with the system
Still, one thing is wrong in these videos - the people playing are male and under 50....
r.
Gamesradar said it had problems in a "review" they posted on YouTube earlier (well it was a roundtable after a few hours of play on various games with comments rather than scores).
Surprisingly the YouTube got taken down pretty quick lol.

I think you underestimate how many copies Sony has to make, for different regions and different versions.
Not only that, but this is a busy time of year with lots of other games and movies trying to get BDs pressed.
And like everything else, while Sony might be the biggest client of BDs - commercially speaking they can't just ignore the requirements and commitments of 3rd parties.
