The ajustment is optional and to my knowledge there are presets of which the player can choose from if he isn't happy with the default settings but doesn't want to make individual customization. To me the adjustment looks very easy and practical, so props to High Voltage. I think these kind of additional features are great.
Dead Zone is the imaginary box wherein the movement of the aiming reticle translates into aiming, whereas outside the box it translates to both aiming and turning.
EDIT: no problem, chanmasta.
"All Nintendo's innovation seems to be going into the casual side now."
I disagree. Shigeru is very busy, but he has already stated he's working on a new Zelda, and the franchise needs serious rethinking in his opinion (or something along the lines). He's also working on Pikmin 3 and everyone likes Super Mario Galaxy. Add Wii Fit, Metroid Prime Corruption, Wii Music, Warioware, Wii Sports and Super Paper Mario to the mix and you'll get quite a lot of innovation, even ...
I agree with you on Conduit being awesomely promising, but saying this is a game for gamers and Nintendo's 1st party offerings are not, is quite harsh. Hardcore gaming is not just multiplayer fps. Nintendo has used lots of resources for their 1st party hardcore games and in my opinion the quality/quantity ratio of Nintendo's games is still one of the best of major developers.
Although this game looks promising, it has yet to show any signs of originality. I don't like people ju...
Does anyone else think that the Finnish javelin thrower Tero Pitkämäki looks like Chris Redfield?

EDIT: sorry, picked the wrong spot to post the comment
I actually think RE4 was pretty scary at some points, like when first arriving to the village or fighting with Garridors (the steel clawed blind men). What I liked most about the enemies in RE4 was their intelligence and speed. I had high hopes in this regard for the RE5 enemies, but so far the african zombies don't seem more fierce than the ganados. Hope they have mobile big baddies in the main adventure like the ones in RE4's mercenaries. The crazy giant ganado with double edged chainsaw in...
The art style is pure awesomeness and the action is intense. Hope they use Wii Motion Plus and nail the controls.
The only things I don't like are the written sound effects (WHY???), generic enemy screams (I thought they were supposed to be humorous) and the music. I don't have anything against rap, it's just that I don't think it suits the style of the game. Sin City-ish music would work better in my opinion.
In my opinion the difference is not that big, but then again, a matchbox sized video is not the best one to show 360's HD capabilities.
The low price can't explain Wii's success, because Gamecube sold less in it's whole lifetime than the Wii in one and a half year, even though Gamecube cost $50 less from the very beginning. (Gamecube startet with a price of $199, Wii started with a price of $250, after two years of it's release Gamecube cost $99).
Wii is selling because of it's revolutionary control method. Why don't people realize this, even though it's blatantly obvious?
PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU ...
"I think we will find out soon enough that a game in development for too long will only hurt the final product (as in too many expectations and not living up to the hype), in most cases this has been proven true."
Well, 4 years definitely isn't too long for a game studio consisting of only 30 devs. Usually small and gifted team with lots of development time leads to great game. The smaller the team, the easier it is to manage a project.
If that's your point, then why didn't you say "master chief and Samus Aran are about as original in design as Robocop"?
What I'm trying to say is that the sentence "X is as close to being Z as Z is to Y" doesn't equal the sentence "X, Y and Z are all unoriginal".
EDIT: I do agree with you on your latter comment, but not so much with the former one. However, I don't think more close similarity between Master Chief and Samus Aran than ...
I just Paintshopped it:

My first approved story!
The hands look like blocks and the hip is too wide. Also, the chest armor/upper body suit could be more original in it's design.
Most importantly, where are the beret and sunglasses? The UT engine produces such shiny graphics that it can't be good for Zax's glaucoma if he's not wearing eye protection.
madjedi wrote: "So one of your reasons is resident evil uc selling 1.3 million, and re4 sold 2 million. Okay if these are accurate figures with an install base of 30 mil + or - 1-2 million thats pathetic."
A game company doesn't care how much a game sells relative to consoles purchased. It cares only about the absolute numbers. A game selling 2 million copies on a console with install base of 30 million is financially better for the company than a game selling a milli...
"the answer to this question is no. the wii suffers from a lack of adult games. i think this is what they mean by hardcore... adult, intelligent, challenging."
Would you care to educate me how you define an "intelligent game" and which PS3/X360 games fall into that category?
There are very few console games that actually require intelligence. Portal, Echochrome and Zack&Wiki are perhaps the only ones I know of current generation console ga...
Is Steven Spielberg's Boom Blox art? After all, it has the name of the author on the cover:

From the first page scan: "Wildstorm, the comic book company founded by famed artist Jim Lee, is crafting the authentic yet distinct new look for all of the key characters."
Not saying that Alex Ross isn't a source of inspiration for Wildstorm, but I don't think he's the only source. The network of influences in the world of art is a complex one.
It's like Brokeback Mountain: thousands of leechers and seeders in Bittorrent, but nobody admits watching the movie. Maybe people thought they would see Jake in the pics?
