I usually don't bother with auction sites unless the game is not available in retail B&M or online stores, but good for you. Have fun! ^_^b
If I was to pirate games, I would go back to the PC.
I personally believe 360 ruined the chances of new JRPG IPs. Eternal Sonata was a new JRPG with high production value on the 360, but it hardly sold more than Folklore on the PS3. Instead a terribly generic one called Blue Dragon sold more at half a million.
The Tales series has always been overshadowed by the FF series, so this might either be their chance to break into new markets or mark their end. I hope it sells well so they will have the money to port it to the PS3.
This must also mean the supply problem is a thing of the past now. No console ever performs a price drop while there's a supply shortage (take Wii for example).
It's suppose to be the end of a saga, so it needs to be quite groundbreaking. I'm sure the usage of space is justified, especially since it includes the starter pack of entire other game called MGO.
They just managed to shrink the Cell to 45nm and RSX to 65nm, so the core system can be cheaper and need much less heat dissipation material. I don't think the PS3 needs a price drop until after GTAIV, MGS4, LBP, and KZ2 comes out.
And btw, what ever happened to that horrid supply shortage the 360 was facing? I'm assuming in light of the price drop, it's all now a thing of the past.
JRPGs are not selling well at all on the 360. If you compare Folklore to Eternal Sonata, they have been out for about the same time frame and the later is for the 360 and has higher production values, yet it has about the same world wide sales as Folklore.
So I'm guessing their supply issue has been solved?
Well the MGS4 Bundle coming out in June will be price at $499, so I don't think the PS3 is going to have a price cut for awhile.
I just find it funny that MS is able to make a price cut to increase demand not long after they complained of supply shortages as the cause of low sales.
Shouldn't they hold off on a price cut until after their alleged supply shortage is solved?
So by your logic, Americans must really like relying on warranties then.
crazy Americans (^_^)b
It's actually available as preorder for only $49.99 on Amazon right now.
I already pre-ordered a DS3 on Amazon for only $49.99.

Here's the white paper that was published awhile ago:
http://research.scea.com/ps...
"The system's unified memory architecture allows
the Cell/B.E. and GPU to exchange data through shared textures."
"This system combines the
Cell/B.E. with a state of the art GPU in a unified memory
architecture. In this architecture both devices share access to ...
I saw the main video on Rambus but not the alternate link to the Rambus specifically for the PS3.
@JsonHenry
The PS3 actually has a unified memory architecture, it was proven in a white paper on deferred rendering through emulation of a gpu on the cell.
After FF:AC, I'm more CloudxTifa than before.
The 360 would have gotten installation feature by now if only the developers could do that without alienating all the 360 core owners. I can't believe you are bragging about the lack of a mandatory HDD and low capacity media.
Massive Ignore!
And how did MS keep the cost of their consoles down? Was it extensive quality testings, mandatory features for every SKU, user upgradeable parts, or free full features online service?
