I saw the original interview, it was only a few minutes. This one was much better. Definitely worth the attention for all PS3 owners (though it should also include PS2 and PSP).

Besides, this is slated for only the PS3 channel, it shouldn't even bother other console owners.

@Jenzo

At least they are trying to challenge themselves in making something new. Resistance 1 was their first FPS and game on the PS3, and now they have a 3rd generation engine and the experience to create an even better experience. No the technology doesn't make it a better game, but the fact that they are always pushing the limit tells me PS3 owners should look forward to the title.

Well considering only RPGs on floppy disks took days to finish, I don't think size is proportional gameplay time. But if you look at graphics and visuals, then Blu Ray will easily take the lead by allowing lossless textures and audio for every PS3 exclusive title.

The list starts off pretty well and good, then it begins to get a bit unrealistic around the whole no hard drive thing.

Even with fiber optics, there is a latency of 20 ms for data access assuming an idle server on the other end. However, the latency even those slower 5400RPM hard drives offer is much smaller than that. Besides, hard drives are becoming cheaper, so there's no reason to not include large capacity ones for media SKUs.

There's no mention of any existing consoles on the wishlist.

It works for both my HP laptop and Dell desktop, both running Home Basic. Only thing that broke was the sound system on the laptop, so I had to reinstall the drivers.

Copying files is faster now, but I still get crashes from Windows Explorer once in awhile.

Doesn't the European data usually come in before the American one?

Jeez, do you call Christmas the Waitmas then? It's not like Sony can control when E3 is held.

US or Europe?

You are really giving 360 fans a field day, but I guess it does help bring attention to a problem that I'm sure Sony is already aware of.

My opinion on the matter is limited as I am used to multiplayer on the PC only, but when I do play CoD4 or some of the PSN games online, I do agree that there are areas that need improvement.

But what I keep in mind is the fact that Sony has made amazing strides in this field considering they just started the PSN for the PS3, where...

It's a much better implementation than limiting the bandwidth of P2P traffic and doing whatever Comcast does. I need to switch to Verison FiOS soon.

Yeah, Sony pretty much now has the strongest in-house studio.

I can say the same about the 360's technology (optical media, HDMI, etc).

Sony is obviously hoping to catch the eye of casual gamers and Wii owners with the inclusion of Blu Ray on the PS3, making it the cheapest Blu Ray player that will be upgradeable to the Live Profile later this year.

And as more Blu Ray player manufacturers start competing with one another, we'll get the normal price drop we see in every single media format from CD players to DVD players.

By that time, manufacturing cost would be much lower for both the player and m...

If you look compare their sales since launch, you see that the PS3 is actually doing much better than the 360 despite a rocky launch.

Considering Lost Odyssey sold the same amount on the first week for both NA and Japan added together (user base of over 11 million), I think it did pretty well with a user base of 2 million.

Besides, you don't even see sales boost for 360 anymore. It's such a small number that a chained retailed store having a sale could be solely responsible for a boost.

I hope you are being sarcastic.

Btw, it's nice to see Japan hit 2 million for the PS3.

I got the PS3 collector's edition after it dropped to $29.95. It may not be the best action game, but it was pretty fun once I started playing it.

Only if they manage to get this working completely on all existing players, not an easy task since it asks for advanced interface and internet connectivity that most players don't support.
