Hmm, if they have at least one studio that finally got a handle on the PS3 platform, maybe there's hope for EA yet...
Why do they always ask for something new in the gameplay? And then when a game does have a lot of extra variety, it will get criticized for doing too much.
Geez this article makes it look like all those companies are making RPG exclusives for the 360.
If we look at the JRPG exclusives, 360's lead on RPG is evident from Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia. Then again Level 5 has had solid hits since Dragon Quest VIII, so I am looking forward to White Knight Chronicles. It's funny how they are kind of opposite to Mystwalker. They had a terrible experience with MS and has refused to work with them since, and their game has been praise...
For full PS3 games, I believe GT5 has been the only one to really achieve full 1080p. KZ2 is way too detailed and texture rich (imagine 2GB per level), so they had to render it at 720p.
It's about everyone. Don't cast that stone unless you're really innocent.
If he can bring Atari from the brink of death, then it's good for everyone. Else, maybe he can help Sony buy the dying giant before it disappears.
And you expected MS's global marketing director to say anything different? I envy your naivety.
Don't forget reliability and HDD as a future option.
I think they are just trying to be as unbiased as possible for a site named "PS3 fanboy." I really wouldn't be able to take them seriously if they said "ZOMG MGS4" whenever some tidbits of news come up.
That's 8 Capcom games. I've got R&C, Uncharted, AC, and a bunch more that don't perform such an installation.
@jason
I've owned over half a dozen PS3 titles and they are all currently on my system, the only one that required an installation by DMC4. None of the other had any problems with load times. Blame Capcom if you must, but all I want to say is at least the system has a HDD. It's only been two to three years into this generation and we are already seeing load time being a factor for the 360, can it even sustain itself when developers all cry out for the feature later on?
I f...
@vega
There are a few 360 exclusives that would have benefited from a HDD installation to reduce load times. Lost Odyssey would have scored much better if it didn't take so long to load between levels and battles.
@george
You really shouldn't desecrate the name of the father of this nation by making him a fanboy. It's almost as unpatriotic as burning a flag.
@vega
Well here's the nice thing about the PS3, every SKU comes with at least the standard that the 360 has, 20GB. Meanwhile more and more developers are crying out for HDD, remember Burnout Paradise multi player?
I'm not saying Capcom should just use HDD installation indiscriminately, since I remember how well...
Believe me, if it wasn't for Blu Ray, I would have downloaded the last couple of movies I bought through BitTorrent. There is no way I would buy something when an alternate free, non-DRM is available, especially when it is not a tangible product.
These G4TV reviews are really annoying to me for some reason. I wish they would just review it instead of giving such a hip attitude.
They should have spend millions on that Super Bowl ad then.
I'm definitely getting this game if it runs well.
Even if that does happen, which seems completely contradictory to their claims of low inventory, Sony will jump right back even higher with MGS4.
Sooner or later the PS3 will get to a point where half a million won't matter anymore.
Now now, I just want JRPG to remain as popular as ever. There has been too many great series that has been discontinued: Xenosaga, Shadow Hearts, and more. For them to stay on the PS3 simply means I won't need to purchase a 360 anytime soon.
