Good.

So which PS3 did you get?

So you're saying no 360 games suffer from long load times that wouldn't have been alleviated by a built-in HDD?

I'm sure he'll be singing a completely different tune if the 360 ever gets a Blu Ray add-on. Sour grapes never taste so good.

So I guess he thinks that just because the Nazis lost doesn't mean the Allies won. I suppose in a way because they still had to rebuild everything the bad guys destroyed, but they won. The winners write the history books, and its pretty much well established that Blu Ray won. A pretty fitting analogy I believe.

When I go to a BB and look in their entertainment department, the people there never say "well maybe you want to choose between Blu Ray and DLC", it's just Blu R...

That's actually pretty cool. I hope we'll see this in the agency.

Wait a tick, wasn't there a console that launched its online service in 2002 but then everything was discontinued in 2005 in order to increase demand for another console by that same company? Can Mr "360 rules" guess that console?

I would say free online multiplayer, free access to Home, and reliability.

I have a 60GB PS3, but I'm also going to get a PS2 when it drops to $99 on Amazon. Can't ever have enough Playstations.

The whole reason I stopped gaming on my PC was because I was tired of making upgrades because of new titles. A cheap dual core is fine for every day tasks, multimedia, and software developer, so I don't see why I needed to spend money just to satisfy a new game.

@toughname
You are obviously a big spender that likes having paperweights around the house whenever a new product cycle occurs.

I dunno about owning both consoles. I currently have the PS3 and I can't find enough time to play all the games on it between my undergrad and jobs. It's not about how much money I have, it's about my limited amount of time.

Yeah, your avatar is kind of offensive. You should change it before people start reporting you on it.

It must cost very little to make a PSP to PS2 port. As long as it is a timed exclusive on the PSP, it will still sell. It will probably be half a year to a whole year before there will be the possibility of GoW:CoO and Crisis Core on PS2.

I think the only metacritic review right now has it at 7.5 for single player and 8.5 for co-op.

Seriously this is a terrible representation of facts. I am an electrical and computer engineer and I don't even pretend to be able to judge performance based solely on the technology of two very different consoles.

The memory comment was just the most obvious. Saying 360's 512MB shared memory means that it has 512MB for both CPU and GPU is pretty off. It would be as if I was broke and got a paycheck for $1000 and I were to tell you I now have $1000 in cash AND in the bank. The un...

Hey I have an old Panasonic 1080i, too. It played R&C, Uncharted, and AC just fine. Just because 40% have older TV doesn't mean 40% have this problem.

Did you make this post as a warning or to damage Sony's growing reputation? This is hardly damage control when the problem is not so far stretched that I see PS3 owners returning their console left and right from an epidemic.

And as for it being Sony's fault because they promised to look into it, I ask you not be so hypocritical at Sony being the only company without so much free time. Isn't there any other company that has had a much worse hardware problem and has been trying t...

So I suppose for now we know the following:

1) Cheapening out on purchasing a HDTV doesn't work out so well in the end.
2) We should expect a solution to this problem later this year.

I have a slightly old (3 years) Panasonic 50" 1080i HDTV; I've never had this problem with any PS3 games.
