I have the DMC anniversary edition that has all three releases for the PS2, so I'm definitely picking this up. Hopefully Nero won't be like Raiden for MGS2.

I've seen pictures of the box and it is enlarged and boxed in big letters that it does not support PS2 games. Again, Sony really just needs to drop the price of the PS2 to solve this problem. Or they can just get the 80GB, which I'm guessing will drop in price soon as well. This way people who have a PS2 (a lot of people) and didn't want to spend $100 extra on a feature they already have can simply get the 40GB.

I got the 60GB as well and also a PS2. I found that PS2 sometimes outputs more vibrant graphics than the hardware emulation. The software emulation from the 80GB looks better than the hardware emulation, don't know why that is. Well, this is the case for FFX anyways.
I'm pretty sure they held back their announcement because they didn't want people to anticipate a new model and price drop, causing a drop in sales beforehand. They were waiting for their warehouse to have enough of the model to ship to retailers before making the announcement.
What in the world does this have to do with the 360/PS3 anyways? 360 doesn't even use HD-DVD for games so there is no need to add the console war on top of the format war? Some of you people are way too sensitive about it.
The point here is not that the video/audio quality isn't good enough, its that it could have been better. It's like how DVD supporters say HD-DVD/BD aren't needed because they can't tell the difference on their SDTVs anyways. If they had to make a compromise ...
Those are all original IPs that are trying something new for a change. And even at that, I wouldn't call them flops, they sold very well. I bought Warhawk but I can't play anymore before having to head back to college for my senior year. I do plan on getting a bunch more PS3 games come winter break.

It would have been and even surer bet if Super Smash and Mario Kart were coming out this year instead of '08, but Mario Galaxy seems good enough.
Your complaint of PS3's graphics problem seem to be mostly from EA sports games. Quite a lot of PS3 games have shown it can perform just as well and if not better (take the PS3 version of DiRT for example, go see Gamespot's review) than its 360 counterpart. Next time you want to list out problems, please specify which games it is seen in before listing them out as if it was common knowledge, as that is just generating FUD.
I'm a bit confused about the rest of your statement but...
It was a bit hard to read through your ranting since it was somewhat chopped up, but I have a few disagreements about what you said.
1) I don't understand why you think us PS3 owners should hang our head in shame when two great titles are coming out within two months from now: Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted. If you don't like the system that's fine, but please refrain from telling us how we should feel if we were you.
2) I thing Killzone 2 still has a release in Q1 2...
If you are talking about 360 Arcade, it has no HDD and relies on a 256MB memory card. So even though it can play Xbox games, any 360 games that requires a hard drive, which is going to become more frequent, will force you to buy one of MS's proprietry, overpriced HDDs. Last time I checked, the cheapest 20GB one is $90. And also, it doesn't come with HD-DVD and (I believe) wireless b/g. Not that much of a value for people who actually want to play the best, new games out there.
He has a right to his opinion about the game jeez. I play RPGs mostly so I'm used to really long games. I played Halo 3 with my friends in co-op and beat it on a Friday night. It does have replay value so if you like it play it again and use different tactics and get the skulls.
