Sure Sony could have included rumble when the PS3 came out, but blame it on Immersion for the damn lawsuit. The sixaxis isn't so bad and I didn't even miss rumble, but it's nice to have it back. It works on most PS2 games (at least all the JRPGs I've played), so I'm happy.
Sony isn't going to be in the 3rd place for too long. GTAIV will sell more software on the 360, but it will shift more PS3 hardware. Then add GT5P and MSG4 (including the ultimate 80GB bundle), 360's one year h...
Sadly I have to agree. Tri-Ace is a very solid developer on-par with Level 5.
I hope you 360 owners actually make an effort to buy this game. With an user base of over 17 million, I would hope at least one of these JRPGs can sell more than a million.
I rather have installs than slow load times. I leave it up to the developers to use it when necessary to provide a seamless experience.
Hasn't MS shown signs of breaking by itself without any competitors? Just look at Vista.
Well people pay those prices for iPhones, PDAs, and PCs with less functionality than the PS3 so it really isn't that steep of a price. A price drop is probably going to come around the winter holidays, but it's really annoying to hear people keep on saying "I'll get it when it hits $X"
This article is only on the PS3 channel, why are you even here?
Amen to that.
Probably because MS already hired all the repair/service technicians.
Well, the fact that Sony still has 80GB models and PS2 basically solves this problem. When my 60GB dies, long after the warranty expires, I'm just going to get a 40/80GB PS3 and a PS2, both of which should cost only a fraction of their current price.
Btw, I didn't know 360 owners actually prayed or performed rituals before turning on their system. I learn something new everyday.
An in-game cutscene with Kojima's sense of humour, I can't wait.
Yeah, I definitely believe the new PS3 revision. Many of its components were cutting edge when they came out, so it's not hard to believe hardware updates would come that would drive down their manufacturing and production costs thanks to Moore's Law.
GT5P moved quite a few units thanks to those bundles. It really proves that its the games that really drive hardware sales instead of price alone.
I don't get how pre-order is counted in software. GT5P was confirmed to have a pre-order in Europe of 1 million, so is that counted as soon as it is ordered (for places that don't accept cancellation), when it is finally released/shipped (for places that allow last minute cancellation), or both?
Please please please don't be an April's fool joke.
Wouldn't it be easier to jump get a game of pong running through Linux?
Yeah the rip-offs are really lame. I especially can't stand the first one, the reviewer is either some sort of sadist that likes to torture animals as a hobby or was imprisoned as a child to not be able to enjoy Ratatouille.
It's just that the dollar is worth less now, it's not the PSN that's overcharging you, it's the US economy.
...must resist...follow up comment...too tempting...too easy...
Well XP got better...after a LOT of patching, it seems MS is really into the idea of getting a product out early and fixing any and all problems through patches. Well this might (I stress might) be fine for software product, this kind of thinking just doesn't work for a company looking to break into the hardware electronics industry.
It's Level 5, they've made some great JRPGs before with Dragon Quest VIII and Rogue Galaxy. I've already preordered it on Amazon so I can only hope it gets localized for N.A. before the end of the year.
The sixaxis is being phased out, so it will probably be part of new SKUs by the summer.
