Patents, patents, and patents. If Sony believe that game streaming really is going to be the future, then they want to be sitting on as many of the patents for it as possible. It protects them legally from outside litigation that would force them to shut it down, but it also could provide a new revenue stream for licensing that tech to Microsoft, Nintendo, Apple, whomever.

It's not free. PSN sometimes labels games you already own as being "free" but for people who don't own it will see the full price.

That's not fair. Sony as a company is basically on life support. They were the kings of electronics before everything changed and low margin manufacturers stole all of their business.

The Vita is a great console but keeping Gravity Rush exclusive to it isn't going to help sell systems. It's been there for 2 years and if it hasn't helped to sell the console by now, it never will. The same goes for Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048, or Unit 13. They're al...

The movies on Hulu are not as good as what you find on Netflix. Hulu is the service you use to catch up on the current season of shows. I don't use it as much as Netflix, but more than Amazon Prime. If you have them all, you've got all your bases covered.

I agree. I don't even really like OlliOlli, but I like the guys at Roll7.

I'm really looking forward to not a Hero. Seems more like the game for me.

I agree. This game is fun. Best part is that each mission only takes a few minutes to get through, so it's perfect for a pick up an play session. But it can be challenging enough to sit for long periods of time as well.
I hope the community sticks around for awhile with this one.

Is it worth it? That depends. Is it a good value? Yes.

If you subscribe for the full year, you're looking at $180 to have unlimited access to over 100 titles, quite a few of them amazing games.

Factor in that you can play these games on either the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, or PSTV, and you have an amazing proposition. The biggest downside at the moment is that the subscription service requires a PS4 to get. But it works really well, and the biggest problem with ...

Eh, I wouldn't say 7.6 is a "very good" score. If I got a 76 on a school paper, that's solid C territory.

9 would definitely be "very good."

I would agree with you but I have a 3DS as well, and it's beyond awful. Sure, it gets "support" but the games are garbage compared to what is on the Vita. It has a YouTube app but because the touch screen is so bad, typing is nearly impossible.
It's looking more and more like the best option is to just invest the money in a tablet or phone.

I'm sure that if developers could have patched and tweaked their games back then, they would have. There's no such thing as a "complete" game. Every game, movie, book has something that could be fixed to make it slightly better. Now that developers have that opportunity, they take advantage of it.

And sometimes changing or tweaking something doesn't fix it but actually breaks it. Star Wars was great/amazing just the way it was then Lucas had to come alo...

I've never felt so old. :)

I think when I was a kid, we were more forgiving for a game's problems. I remember countless times where I'd get stuck in the bubble-door in Metroid and couldn't get out. A reset and replay of a lot of stuff was the only fix.

Today, if the game is 60fps 100% of the time or there is (god forbid) screen-tearing, everyone craps themselves.

Yes, some games this year (and every year) have problems, but th...

I have a lot of fond memories of my NES games.

But I also have those repressed nightmares that I don't like to think about. I remember putting the cart in and only getting a blue flashing screen. Hit reset and nothing. Took out the cart and tried again. Flashing blue screen. Pulled it out again, blew on it, tried again. Flashing blue screen. Took it out, put it in (but not all the way) pushed it down and hoped that it worked. Tried again and again.
Eventually it ...

So you're arguing that games are only buggy today because of corporate greed? It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that these big games today are infinitely more complex than anything on the NES and are created by teams of hundreds (or thousands) instead of a dozen?

Kind of need developers to make games for the system first before they can max out the power. I'm just saying.

I'm sure the Wii U has a ton of juice in it somewhere for developers to take advantage of, but it seems that at this time, they just don't care. Maybe it's because only Nintendo's games seem to sell well for the system, or maybe it's something else entirely.

Meanwhile, those of us in the US hear nothing but crickets. I wonder if it will be like Don't Starve where it just suddenly gets mentioned on Sunday that it's coming in Tuesday's update.

He says it's not for "Vita fans" but what he really means is it isn't for him. There's a big difference.

For me, it is not a waste of money, and I am about as big a Vita fan as you can get. The ability to play some of my favorite games on a big screen TV is fantastic.

And while the PSTV has its flaws right now, it will get better. All the consoles, PS4, PS Vita, PS3, launched with a fraction of the capabilities they now have. The Vita d...

I think it's great for people who sold their PS3s when they got a PS4. You can still play any PS1 games you might have had and also get access to Vita games as well.

Or it could be for people who don't want to get a PS4 just yet but are interested in some of the games that are coming to the "PS4 and Vita" which is a lot. Games aren't coming out as frequently for the PS3 anymore, but they're still coming in strong on the Vita.

I see t...

Senran Kagura on my 50" Tv???! Um, yes. I mean, everything is so big. So, so big.
I picked mine up this weekend and Kz is pretty great on this. It takes some getting used to, but it's nice.

Nice. Rayman hits the list twice. Very deserved. I'm not sure how I feel about Killzone rated so high, but you can't deny it's a beautiful game with awesome multiplayer.

I have used PS Now on my PS TV over wifi quite a bit and works GREAT. Remote play may not be the best on the PSTV, but it's PS Now support is top notch. Just as good as the PS4.
