I agree. I thought this article was hilarious. Naturally the biggest reason publishers don't have their games on the Wii U is because it would make Nintendo too powerful.
I have yet to try it, but I think that since it seems everyone else also sucks at KZM, maybe I'll have to try Lounge Play one of these weeks. It's just I always forget when saturday comes around that you guys are doing this.
Maybe. It just seems like all the big outlets like Joystiq, IGN, etc, they all talk up this game like it's the next coming. This is the game everyone is going to want this fall.
The only other game I remember everyone in the media lining up to drool over in this manner was Titanfall.
It just has this "generated hype" feel to it. Maybe it will be a great game and everyone will love it, but right now I get a strange vibe from the hype.
It seems like SO is falling into the category of getting too much hype. The last game that had everyone talking like this was Titanfall and that one didn't set the world on fire like it was supposed to.
If this game gets hyped anymore than it already is, there's going to be more disappointment if it turns out to not be the end all/be all of games.
You're thinking MotoGP 13.
That confused me too and I thought it was a mistake or a typo. Europe gets MotoGP 14 and we get last years release.
But they said somewhere that 14 will be coming to the US in September.
The worst part about it now is the game selection. For newcomers, maybe there's a lot in there they would like, but I had a hard time finding anything I hadn't already played or already owned.
Quite a few of the game available are ones that have had ridiculous discounts in the past and sold for only a few bucks. So I'm hoping they add in more titles soon.
Plus, if you add a subscription service and the PS TV comes out... I could see this thing really takin...
You and me both brother.
Muppets? Vita? Why, combine my two favorite things and you have a winning formula.
I mean, I'll buy it even if it isn't good. I'm stupid Muppet crazy like that.
Drop the low end and the high end and this seems really good. The 4 hour price is ridiculous, and the 90 day price is ridiculous, but everything in between seems pretty good.
How? I can play through a number of games on my PS4 at prices that are a fraction of what it is to buy them. And the argument of "the 90 day rental costs more than the price of the game" but most of these games can be finished in just a few days. Why the hell would anyone rent them for 90??
This is my feeling. Look at games like Papa & Yo or Stick It To The Man or a number of other games that are fun playthroughs that take around 4-6 hours and once you're done, you don't really want to play it again.
Some games, like Journey, can be completed in that 4 hour rental time.
I think they should knock the options down to 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month.
Exactly. This service is designed to allow you to play games that aren't native to your system so the complaints about "I could buy it for less" really don't make sense. Sure you could buy a used copy of the game for less but then what do you play it on?
I just wish they would remove the 90 day option because it's that price which everyone seems to latch onto. You're not going to rent a six hour game and keep it for 90 days. You don't rent a movi...
I love the Vita, but this really isn't my kind of game. There's just something about those big, girly eyes. Kinda spooky if you ask me. And I'm not really into the whole card game, but I know there are a lot of people who enjoy this kind of thing.
I did enjoy the review though.
I have Unfinished Swan sitting on my PS3 begging for me to play it but I've never gotten around to it. But it does seem like the perfect game for the Vita, especially if you can add in the touchscreen for lobbing some of the paint balls.
Another day, another petition. I'm losing track of all of them. I just got over the petitions for releasing retail versions of Vita games in Europe, and now Crash is being petitioned. I thought people would want new games and not remakes of old ones.
Make a petition so the Crash PS1 games could be played on the Vita, and I'll sign that one.
Yes, yes they are. People love taking every quote about the Vita and taking it out of context to make it seem like Sony is ignoring the Vita.
I'm pretty sure Sony has never announced that they had sold out of Vitas. From how I remember this whole thing starting, a bunch of noticed that you couldn't buy them anywhere and started asking "WTF?"
Finally a thread got started on Neogaf talking about this issue, which led to Polygon writing a story, which led to everyone suddenly noticing that for the last month you haven't been able to buy a Vita.
This wave of news stories about it is just reporting...
They could make it available to buy. That would be one way to help save it.
I'm not sure that there is anything Sony can do that is going to suddenly make people buy them in droves. The dedicated handheld market is dwindling, but maybe with some good marketing they could let people know what this little device is capable of.
Right. It can't be either/or, it needs to be both.
I think anyone who has PS+ is doing themselves a disservice for not buying on. You're getting more in free games than the system costs, and as far as the memory card is concerned, pay $40, get a 16gb card and you're good to go. The price of one game and you have a decent amount of memory to play all those games you'll get with your subscription.
The problem with OUYA is that it had neither the content nor the name recognition. Sony is bringing the PSTV with a ton of content already available with more on the way. It's also a great console for emerging markets, and in places where traditional consoles are prohibitively expensive (like South America).
Personally, I think it'd be great for kids. Put some Minecraft on one, some Disney infinity, and Netflix, and my kid is set. No need to pay several hundreds of $ to put a ...
The thing is, we already knew about all of these games. They've all been announced, but none of them were mentioned in the press conference. No, instead they're tweeted out by a guy from SCEE who signs on third party developers to bring their games to PlayStation. Was it too much to have one of the guys on stage actually mention one of these games?
Shahid's whole rants started off in response to a Tweet by Curve Studios saying that they had wished the Vita got mor...
