Yeah NeoGAF guys are rarely right.
Still dreaming though.
Would certainly be interesting and could actually suit the Wii U's controller quite well.
Not entirely sure how likely this is, though.
*That
Plus Monster Hunter. That's huge in Japan. The remake for 3DS isn't even a new game and it has sold around 1.5 million units on the 3DS in Japan alone.
Anyway, 3DS is really dominating in Japan. I imagine Vita sales will pick up too once some heavy hitters arrive. PS3 holding its own pretty well too.
Wow...a second presentation? There must be quite a bit of software coming to the Wii U/3DS then. I guess it'll be more gameplay and trailers of the games that get announced at the actual E3 presentation...but who knows?
I can't wait! Bring on the games, Reggie, MY BODY IS READY!
Leave it to Retro. They'll make Metroid work great without the need to borrow ideas from previous games in the series.
Can't wait for the potential of a Metroid Wii U, though!
Retro is a very talented development studio who will excel at whatever they do. I think I would rather they work on Metroid or Star Fox, though, and leave Zelda to the teams in Japan.
I personally can't wait for Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference. I am confident that they will announce loads of games for the 3DS and Wii U and we will finally get a true idea of the Wii U's features and power. And yes, MY BODY IS READY!
Wii and DS sales are finally slowing down. Great numbers for 3DS, though, and software is still looking good.
Can't wait to see how the Wii U does - it'll all be down to pricing, but after the lessons of the 3DS, I think Nintendo will price it smartly and competitively.
Good point.
Perhaps they meant Nintendo initially wanted a $450 price tag but then lowered it to $350?
Not sure how reliable this is.
I can't wait for E3 2012 to find out what the Wii U really has to offer, though!
512MB reserved for OS? There must be some multitasking functionality then. If that is the case there must be 1.5GB or more total RAM...I can't see Nintendo locking half (or more) of the system's RAM, which would be the case if it had 1GB or 768MB total.
Anyway, I'm really growing curious about the Wii U. I can't wait to see it's games/features/power/OS. E3 2012 is going to be great!
This is huge news if true. It's great to see third-party developers taking an interest in the Wii U. I can't help but notice, though, that there doesn't seem to be a link to the source of this information (i.e. the financial report from Rockstar that supposedly confirms this).
Can't wait for the Wii U or for GTA V regardless, though.
This would be massive news if even half of those were true. This just makes me look forward to E3 2012 even more - I can't wait to see what Nintendo have up their sleeves in terms of surprises for the Wii U.
Having said that, I must admit, some of these games do seem a little unlikely.
Great review, great game.
It needs good games. And, it is getting loads of them - Luigi's Mansion 2, Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Animal Crossing 3DS, Monster Hunter 4, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Heroes of Ruin...not to mention all the rumoured games that might come out like Pokemon, Dragon Quest, a new Zelda...and all the games that will be announced at E3 this year...and all the games I simply forgot to list in this comment...and all the ga...
I guess $299.99
I'm guessing more along the lines of $300.
Metroid Prime 4 on Wii U at launch would be AWESOME, especially if made by Retro Studios.
Will this be in japanese? I don't want to stay up to watch it if it is. I'm pretty sure the last 'Nintendo Direct' events have been in Japanese.
Anyway, I think this is awesome news. Early news can really help these next couple of days pass quicker! Can't wait for E3 2012, especially the three big conferences. Thank you Iwata/Nintendo HQ.
