Agreed. They should have thought about that before revealing the console at E3 2011 - a year and a half before the console's launch. Not to mention it killed Wii sales.

Anyway, I agree the tablet features are pretty cool I can't wait to see what developers come up with. The Wii U launch line-up is actually looking pretty good. Yes there's no Zelda/Metroid/Smash Bros which is a shame (but I didn't expect them anyway), and yes some of the games are ports but whe...

@ DiRtY

It had an $80 price cut - and that's because it was overpriced - it was the same price as a Vita, which is more advanced.

Look at 3DS sales now - it's outselling the DS.

What sites? I'm interested to know :)

Hmm might be worth pre-ordering I can't see the price being lower than this and it has a pre-order guarentee so if Nintendo ends up selling it at £250+ you will still only pay £200.

Nintendo and Sony are smart and actually care - they have invested in top-notch first-party games like Zelda, Uncharted, God of War, Metroid, Killzone, etc.

Microsoft relies too heavily on investing in timed-exclusive DLC for the next COD games. Shameful really.

Price seems right but no way is that the release date.

Yes, Ninty's E3 2012 presentation was lacklustre. HOWEVER, you can't base the whole library and the whole future of a console on 1 conference which takes place BEFORE the console has even launched. Give the Wii U and Nintendo some time. If in 2-3 years nothing but casual games have been released then go on and hate. Remember, that the Vita, the 3DS and the Nintendo 64 all started slow & then developed into great systems with good games (the Vita/3DS are still improving).

One will probably be FIFA.

HOPEFULLY the second one will be Battlefield like they teased at E3 last year.

At least they aren't cutting jobs.

My guess is $300.

Perhaps the rumours where true? Rumours stated EA and Valve were competing to get Steam/Origin on Wii U as it's online store. Maybe Valve won and now EA is pissed.

Unlikely, but possible.

It was probably just PR bullshit as always, though.

FINALLY.

Thank you Nintendo. I can't help but wonder why this wasn't at their E3 presentation. The crowds would have gone WILD for this.
