"No one is going to be making so much of a physics based game this earlier in the generation that will impact gameplay that much."
And this is exactly my issue, with this approach we can be sure that nobody will even try.
I know the games will look amazing between generations, the issue I have with this approach is that those exclusive games where gameplay would be built around advanced physics and AI will not exist because that's something that cannot just be turned on and off (if the gameplay is based around that), graphically you can scale up and down within generations, but those features, which are the features I'm most anxiously waiting from the next generation will be definitely held back or eve...
That's exactly what I mean, I know that graphically you can turn on and off certain features and you can also play with resolution and frame rate between generations, but a game built from scratch on next generation with gameplay features based around advanced physics and advanced AI, that's something that cannot be replicated at all and that's what I'm actually most excited about next gen.
For me Resident Evil 4 it's an AMAZING game, but a bad Resident Evil title, I do agree with you on that.
"Gotta PAY 'Em All!!"
This will not help people transition, I understand third party games being launched across generations, but they should have exclusives for their next gen, even if they are "also on PC" but games being built from the ground up on that technology, old tech will bring the games back, yes, they will look better and have ray tracing, but they will be fundamentally the same game.
I want advanced AI, advanced physics and gameplay that revolves around those things.
You forgot to put /S at the end.
"has now been played by more than ten million players"
That's not necessarily a great result, they're not copies sold or monthly active players, just people that at one point or another booted the game in these past 2 years.
Never has somebody been so out of touch with reality, wow, hopefully you're being sarcastic.
@Trunkswd
100%, they were very smart going down this road, this allows them to never leave the console market while at the same time playing to their best strength which is their undefeated reign in handheld consoles.
Yeah, they consolidated their market and their fans under one roof by converging handheld and console into one.
I'm actually even MORE excited because it's an RPG, it's going to be a nice change of pace for the series and the genre, something really unique that I definitely want to play.
I find it funny how they state that the announcement was a dud, when they never actually said they were going to show anything at CES to begin with and they never have, but even a 3 letters logo makes people talk when it's about the PlayStation, that shows the power of the brand.
100% agree, I think that for next gen if they want maximum penetration they need to merge PS+ and PSNow into the one service, if you want to play online you need to have PS Now and on top of that you get hundreds of game to stream and download, plus (pun intended) newer games added to the rotation every month.
If those are the best games of the decade no wonder MS is in last place, that list is atrocious for a full decade of gaming.
You forgot the /S at the end, if you don't put it, people will think you're serious.
Failing in Japan since 2002**
There, fixed it.
Lol, this is going to be a two pronged approach for the time that's left till next generation to try and downplay as much as possible Sony and PlayStation while at the same time highlighting everything as a positive for Microsoft and the next Xbox, it has started and unfortunately it will not stop.
I would let the player find every single one of the 13 to assemble the Knights of the Round, it would be awesome that the more Knights you have the higher the damage and the longer the sequence of the summon.
I thought Microsoft didn't like to show things years in advance?

I guess when Sony do it they are lying to their customers, but when MS does it they're building excitement /S.
