I mean, I know they bought a bunch of studios but at the same time how many times has Phil said "greatest games lineup in Xbox history!" Without anything actually happening for us to start doubting him, there's only so many times you can cry wolf.
Until I actually see the games, and the types of games I'll reserve judgement
@Sophisticated_Chap
That's actually not true and outdated misinformation, the real information taken straight from the PlayStation blog is:
"We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5. We're expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions"
And hav...
"Some ppl care more about the machine than the logo."
You are 100% correct some people care more about the machine than the logo, but MOST people care MORE about the GAMES than the machine.
People complain about Sony showing no next gen games but say nothing about the series X being shown with MINECRAFT and an upgraded gears. I know with Sony we are going to get sequels to generation defining games and new IP's from some of the best develope...
"Phil Spencer Says Seeing the PS5 Reveal Made him Feel Even WORSE About the Xbox Series X"
C'mon when is he going to say something like that, regardless of truth, Phil Spencer it's the greatest PR weapon that MS has, without him talking almost every week some people would even forget the Xbox even exists.
Considering the score they gave to Days Gone, I think if it was a Ps4 exclusive it would've scored lower, Sony games are highly scrutinized, a game like Bleeding edge with no content it would have been turned to shreds on the PlayStation.
He was plenty cool in the Demo, so I'll wait to pass judgement.
1st Reason: Because it Is.
Is this thing out? Wow, talk about games with absolutely no hype.
I'm the same way, I think there should be an option before you play a game to deactivate trophies for that specific game, so you could play it without the intent of getting all trophies/achievements, I would play a lot more different genres if that were the case.
I know it's not ideal but the OCD in me likes to see all those 100% completion one after the other, Lol
Actually it seems like those top 100 are the ones that will benefit the most from the "boost" mode, on all the other ones you will probably not see any improvements (maybe just loading times thanks to the SSD) but still be able to play them.
@Kados
I actually agree with you there, on paper the Xbox Series X it's the clear winner (but we're talking about by a margin of around 15%, not this monstrous difference some people want to make it seem), but in real life I think Sony might have balanced better power with performance (which are not the same), so if you're one of those guys that rather have a smoother experience instead of an extra reflection, the Ps5 might be the console for you.

Based on my non super technical knowledge and my analysis of what Cerny said which in some ways was later confirmed by both Reviewtech USA and the Digital Foundry Analysis, I think I'm still holding my ground, the Xbox on paper is the stronger one, but the Ps5 is HIGHLY customized, even though they both have the same technology, both consoles couldn't be different than what they are, they went in completely different directions, even stuff like having a dedicated DMA controller for ma...
Actually the combination of a much higher clock speed for the GPU + the astonishing velocity of the SSD seems to indicate actually the contrary, that on paper the Series X will have the slightly better graphics (16% higher Tflops count) but performance wise the games on the Ps5 will run smoother (and faster of course).
@S2Killinit
I agree, even with the 11.6 tflops rumor (or the 9tflops even) I would still go day one with the Ps5, I know the games will be there and I know what those developers can produce, Yes, MS bought a bunch of studios but most of them are unproven, just because you have great teams it doesn't mean they will immediately get great results.
Lol, they waited until the end for MS to reveal their hand so they could show theirs, this is a great game of Poker they're playing, IF (and I mean a big IF) the Ps5 turns out to be more powerful than they Xbox Series X as some late rumors have indicated (13.3 Tflops and all the rest) it's going to be a very interesting couple of days.
I'm excited for next generation too, cannot wait till December (hopefully we are still up for a December release of next-gen)
"But there’s a catch.
Something has gone wrong with many of the review copies of the game, it seems. Many outlets are reporting massive technical problems that have caused them to scrap scored reviews altogether until the game can be re-reviewed once the issues are fixed with a day one patch, which would mean consumers never experience these problems.
The glitches sound incredibly severe. Polygon reports that in their playthrough of the early copy, t...
@takashiKomuro
There's mucho More to the number than that, for both XsX and PS5, RDNA 2 tech performance is not the same to GCN (Jaguar), so it's not a straight comparison number to number, 12 TFLOPS of RDNA2 for the XsX is MUCH more than 2 times the 6 TFLOPS of the X1X.
If you could I'd reccomend you starting from the first entry, it would add a lot the experience if you go through all the previous games, I got the Platinum on all three and they are amazing, I'm anxiously waiting for them to confirm the release of the 4th one here in the States.
Ahhhh, Persona 5 Royal? FFVII Remake? I'm sure it will be awesome, just like the original but there's a lot more added to for example P5, than to Xenoblade, which I loved on the Wii.
