Even if they go day and date, it won't, but at least for the time being it looks like if they decide to go that route, it will be several years after the original launch of the games in question.
I think this is for the Multiplayer component, I think that the MP focused games will release for PC too, day and date and the Single Player experiences if they release in PC will be years down the line.
I don't, I think they make enough money as is, a sports game is basically the same game every year with a roster change and maybe an updated UI, so development costs should be not that high but they want to make billions upon billions in profit, for every single game, every single year by wiping the slate clean on MT's, on top of the billions they already make by you buying it full price, games yes are more expensive to make now, but at the same time there is a much bigger market with...
Awesome!! Hopefully this makes IV release this year! Three Platinums on the previous 3, need to finish this story.

"Can’t only imaging what the next God of War will look like on PS5."
Not only on PS5, but built from the ground up for PS5!, SO excited.
This is bringing back the entire generation, not just exclusives, third party games need to be the same across the board and now that MS has come out to say that they will keep developing the same game across generations for w whole years Third Party developer might follow suit, which is bad news for all of us.
I remember last June and how everybody said that Sony won e3 from MS without even being there. That June your referring to?
@Yulemni
"Why is it so hard for you to understand there is a difference between graphical scaling and using the hardware for things that weren't possible before."
10000000000% this!!!!
"Are you guys dumb or are you purposely ignoring what everyone including people from the industry are saying?"
I can only imagine the type of things they would be saying if the situation reversed itself and was a...
They will show a really big gap early on, specially on AI and Physics based gameplay. When you will have a built from the ground up exclusive by Sony on the PS5 going against an upgraded for next gen Xbox game, the difference will show not necessarily in graphics and framerate but on a lot of other things.
This approach will only benefit Sony throughout the whole generation because development wise the Sony teams will always have a 1 to 2 years head start in getting to know...
@Kreate
"Sony is a fail."
Lol, I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion.
They are doing this because they cannot afford to lose all those Gamepass subscribers when they do the transition to next-gen, everything is service based for them, that's why they cannot leave people behind.
Now NOT having next gen games for your next gen console is a good thing, I'm amazed at the stupidity of some people.
It's the most backwards thing in the world, you create a new console for a whole new generation, a machine that is 7 years newer than your last console and if you have the "audacity" to build games from scratch for that machine, a machine that people will pay hard earned money for, then that constitutes "anti consumer" now, so stupid.
The only thing "bad for gamers" is if they do not release great games year after year, not if they attend or not one out of multiple events in one year.
If they do their own event, which I'm very sure they will, I do not see what we are missing.
@Larrysweet
With some personal stuff, I know this is just my situation and doesn't have to be agreed or shared by anyone else not going through it, on a separate note, if they need the time to polish the game I'd rather wait than buying a game in serious need of patches.
Actually even better, because these first couple of months are going to do some serious damage to my pocket.
And let's not forget that even if numerically MS might have more studios, some of Sony's studios are separated in 2 internal studios, for example Naughty Dog and they are doing the same with other teams like San Diego and Insomniac.
"Gotta PAY 'Em All!!"
"who would be stupid enough to launch a console with no 1st party exclusive OR any exclusives?"
Microsoft, LOL.
The issue is that they want to release every year or couple of years the same game to you with a different coat of paint and we are expected to not only eat it up, but also ask for seconds, people are tired of paying full price for the same game and then charge them extra to get the full experience with all the MT'S
