With the recent popularity of X-Com games and the new Gears Tactics, what they should do is either make a new front mission tactical game or straight up remake FM3.
One of my favorite series turned to crap because of the need to want to appeal to everyone. Just make it strategic again and with great looking mechs, turn-based tactical mech game.

I guess I just want MS to do completely new things, and yes, I do agree that they could make an amazing reimagining of what PD was, but like I said, my personal desire it's for them to make something completely brand new.
If they use all of this talent to make a new Perfect Dark (there are rumors about it) I'm going to be kinda disappointed, I'm expecting a completely new IP, something that shows that this could only be done by the initiative,

First game from an independent team of only 4 people, got 6/10 on steam and now it's supposed to be a warning sign or something, like they could not take to heart the feedback and experience gained from the first game and actually improve on their second offering.

The biggest issue for me was that XII didn't have any likeable characters, personality and design wise they were completely uninspired, Lightning was ok, but the rest I find it hard to even remember their names.

It was the same thing for me and we should be thankful, because every site you go in the US has both the Standard and Deluxe edition sold out, it's amazing actually, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walmart, Square Enix official site, all sold out.
It was probably too ambitious to make it work for the Ps4, the scope of what the game wanted to achieve was on another level
I truly believe this game is doing amazing in sales, I actually commented a couple days ago how it was basically sold out from every major retailer (just checked and it still is) here in the US, Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, walmart.com, Target, Square Enix website.
And I'm talking about the physical version of both the Standard and Deluxe Edition, I don't remember the last time something like this happened with a game, any game.
I actually love what they did with FFVII, for me this was a world that I wanted to experience to the fullest, I didn't want just a straight up remake, I wanted them to expand the world, the characters, the story, I wanted more of everything and if this is how they can do it, I'll take it, I mean, I waited 20+ years to reexperience midgar, this is the remake I had in mind.
They are preparing for next gen by building an even bigger audience of fans counting on people to try this gen games and then buy a next gen PlayStation 5

I would like to think that the game it's doing really well, and I believe that the Digital is doing even better
I just want them to officialy announce the 25 years anniversary special collector's edition of the Ps5 WITH that controller so I can pre-order it day one.
