The fact that the muliplatform rumor has been debunked goes to show you can't put a price on loyalty. Konami and Kojima are loyal to their fans, and by looking at this article I can tell the Xbox360 crowd is not. The MGS series is too deep for most Xbox360 players anyway.

They need to make a player capable of handling all formats. Who wants a machine that can only play 1/2 of all movies.
I choose it because of the quality. The price doesn't hurt me much. My job pays me well enough. The games I enjoy are on the PC (FPS, MMO,RTS). The point is that Crytec want to make the best game possible and the only platform that gives them the freedom to do that is the PC. This sounds more like a game you might enjoy, but would never admit to liking. Like Nintendogs. For this series graphics is always going to be an afterthought. Story and Gameplay will always take precedence like they should. FFVII was not visualy as impressive as some of the other games of its generation but it is still considered one of, if not the greatest game ever, alongside Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and GoldenEye.

Was this game built with the Oblivion engine? Looks like a mod that they are charging for to me. I had very high expectations for Oblivion but it kind of let me down. If you use your computer to play HD movies you may want to hold off on upgrading to Windows Vista. Vista will institute a new copyright protection system that will not allow you to play your HD movies in high definition without the addition of a HDCP ready monitor.
I don't think the internet is the best place to gauge cosumer opinion. look at this site...it is hardly balanced. Forums and blogs don't represent the large consumer base, they represent the vocal minority.
I don't mind ads in the form of posters or billboards while actually playing the game. It adds to the realism. What I don't want is having to go through 5 ads just to get into a match.
