Players aren't going to notice advertising for two reasons. One is that we don't care, we can see that crap anywhere we go. Two, Players attentions are focused on what they are doing..playing. I want to be a marketer, you can have no commonsense and still get paid.
I played WOW for two years, but it wasn't the only thing I played, and I never play more than one MMO at a time. PC gaming is not for everyone. What could a console morph into, besides a computer, and not be called a game console? Sometimes people just want to play games by themselves and not be forced to rely on other gamers just to be able to play.
Your GOW got #1 spot and your still complaining. Some people could b!tch about anything.
I don't think this was ever a really important game. As far as bragging goes. It's just a port of the arcade version from Japan. The fighting game genre has been a little lonely lately on Xbox(DOA,MK,anything else?)so fun for all. I would be worried if Tekken went multi though.
Good list. I didn't like the whole Primary Platform exclusions for multi-platform games though.
All you have to do to be an ultra gamer is come home and play a game for 1 hour every weekday? They should also state the max number of hours the "Ultra Gamers" play. There is nothing "Ultra" about 5 hours a week, more like "Ultra Casual". If this is what is considered alot for consoles, then 100% of PC gamers are the "Ultimate Gamers". My Grandmother plays POGO games for 4 hours a day, I used to play Atari at her house, she's my hero.
I stopped playing GTA after GTA4. I have never played SanAndreas, because I have no desire to play a Gangbanger. I don't care how expansive the environments are or how in-depth the mission system is.
This screen is from Quake4, a year old game. All they are trying to upgrade is shadows and reflection, which are all extras in my opinion. Nothing that will affect games overall.
Not only is the PS2 cheap, but it also has the greatest game library.
I wan't saying they were only going to PS3, but that only one of the games was a PC,360 exclusive. As of September LOTR:Battle for middle earth only sold 150,000 copies for 360, the PC version sold somewhere between 1 and 2 million. Where do you get your information?
I can't wait for a cross-platform game that will pit gamepad users vs KB & mouse users. For FPS's a Keyboard and a mouse are perfect. With a mouse you control the speed of aiming while on a gamepad you could have the analog stick pressed as far as it goes but it still just moves at the same pace. Mouses are more acurate as well. 'W' 'A' 'S' 'D'
Episode 2 and UT 2007 are going to the PS3. The only game listed going to PC & 360 only is C&C. I wouldn't expect it to sell well though, since RTS aren't suited to consoles, they often end up with clunky controls.
I only counted 3 that I know are console bound HL2:Episode 2, C&C3, and UT 2007. Feel free to correct me if you know of others.
This game was somewhat mediocre as far as PC games go. It was far too short and too easy. You could never die! The game presented no challenge. As far a graphics, this game didn't compare well with games realeased at the same time, because it used an aging DoomIII engine. It did implement some cool gameplay mechanics though. I'd give it somewhere between 7.5-8.0
Just turn the bass way up :) Being mostly a PC gamer the loss of rumble doesn't affect me at all. There was gaming before rumble and there will be gaming after rumble.
Its an experiment, so other devs can learn from it. Therefore it appliese to all gaming.
I wouldn't say thats a confirmation. They are just saying that it's not outside the realm of possibility they they would make a port, which has been the trend. MGS went to GameCube, about 3 or 4 years after the original. MGS2 went to Xbox when they did a redux version, it was the most lack luster of the series, whice may explain the distaste of the series by the Xbox crowd. Correct me if im wrong but I don't think MGS3 was ported to any other system, which might show a reverse in the trend.
If they get it, they will get it when a redux version is done, like subsistence. Which doesn't usually happen for a year+.
The only thing they would have to do to compete with DOA is to up the bra sizes.
The problem is that they are sponsored, so they are getting paid to do this. They are like the E3 booth girls, they are there because their paid to be there, not because they want to be. If given another option, most would probably never play again.
