"You can count the GOOD Wii games on one hand. Zelda, Metroid, Mario and Rayman, all 3rd party games have sucked."
All hope you had of anyone believing you went out the window with that one. Oops, Rayman is third party!
Of course, even medicore games can be million sellers on the Wii. Look at Red Steel. Even RE4 on the Wii has sold a million, and, though I think its a great game, its a third party game and must suck.
Then we have all t...
Game of the year, to game of the decade, to the best game of all time?
I think this is the first time I've seen you say something that doesn't say SMG is game of the year (or decade), but, obviously, with a score average of 98/100, it looks like something even more.
The games are comming next year and after, so you attack someone who graded the PS3 low for THIS holiday?
The simple fact that you admit the games are comming after THIS holiday season for which the grades were assigned makes me believe that he was very right, and maybe even nice.
If a PS3 fanboy is saying the games aren't comming out for the period graded, that's certainly saying a low grade is deserved.
"wii sucks the only reason its selling its beacuase its cheap, it has no good games and its just a toy."
You believe the PS3 is selling well, too, I'm sure. It's certainly not cheap, so that's not the reason, and its a bluray player in addition to a toy.
So is the PS3 selling well just for that second reason you have listed?
I couldn't help myself!
Games I want for the Wii next year that have already been annouced:
Brawl, Endless Ocean, No More Heroes, Mario Kart, Mushroom Men, Okami, Monster Lab, Animal Crossing, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Dragon Quest Swords, and FF: CC
And here I was thinking most of them were 3rd party. Sure, Brawl is at the top of the list, but take a serious look at the list. Not many of them are Mario and Pokemon.
Endless Ocean is being made by Arika, not Nintendo. No...
I assume a "real console" is decided by power.
So the PS2 was the fad of last gen compared to the "real consoles" that were the GC and Xbox.
I'm sure Nintendo dares not dream the Wii be a fad like that.
The Wii targets everyone. I don't know any casual players that want to pick up Manhunt 2 or MP3. I have to spread the word of No More Heroes and Disaster so that some of my friends know they're coming, but they have no interest if they're causal gamers.
The hardcore gamers I know, though, are excited about many games that are coming to the Wii.
It's ok to dislike certain kinds of games. RE and Metroid are the only FPS I like (and Goldeneye, but that's just leg...
1. No console has up to date technology! By the time the first person buys a console, you can build a better PC. The Wii and PS3 are both more than a year out of date, and the 360 is two years out of date. If you want up to date technology, you aren't going to be gaming on a console.
2. Is polygon count all that matters? Mario Galaxy is the second best looking game, maybe ever. Rachet and Clank is easily the most beautiful game, and then there is Mario Galaxy. Nothing tha...
- Nintendo Wii: 192,482
- Xbox 360: 173,895
I disagee that the 360 is dominating, which means your excuses for the PS3 don't work, since the Wii is in almost the same (slightly worse) boat.
The PS3 and Wii both lack the hype, but the PS3 has commercials on constantly. The Wii also didn't have developers on board, so got fewer of the 3rd party games so far.
PS3 has no excuses.
With good scores like this, its hard to ignore it.
It's obviously a solid game, and a game I want. I think, most likely, it won't see high sales from the start but it will sell for a long time, because I think everyone has other games they want...but Fire Emblem should be somewhere on pretty much everyone's list.
I think its pretty big news when more people know who Mario is than the person who runs their country!
This should make real news in Canada, and they should do it in the US too...though I would fear the results.
It's not just gaming news, this is real, serious news that shows that there are problems in politics that are not easily solved.
It really depends on how hard it is. I don't want to play on a difficulty hard enough that I get stuck and am totally incapable of going further.
Some games get so hard toward the end that there is no good balance in that respect. Being pushed is fun. Being impossible is not.
So that's why people say the Wii isn't hardcore, the games are fun.
Well, I'm happy to be a casual gamer that plays games as much as 12 hours a day when I have nothing else to do.
That's spinning as well.
Not too terribly long ago there was an article that said the HD formats, COMBINED, had just passed worldwide sales of VHS!
Is bluray alone beating VHS yet? It's certainly no where even close to DVD.
Neither side will win without mass adoption, and, let's face it, as of now, neither side is getting the sales numbers they really need. Not only is the war not over, but the war may be for being known as laserdisc over betamax...
It's not like Sony makes only bluray players and PS3's.
If bluray goes down the tubes and the PS3 stays in last, Sony will be hurting, but they will survive. Now if the process repeats in 6 years or so, you can start to worry if Sony will be around.
They're inconsistant, but so are the bluray supporters around here.
You always want the PS3 to count as a bluray player, and when they do, you jump on them for it? You have to either take the low attach rate or the low number of players.
On another thread about this, a lot of Sony fanboys were saying, quite basicly, that bluray standlone players were all that counted for this and bluray had moer players out there, as well.
Both sides are inconsist...
I'm not sure if there's really a set price, but Nintendo makes all their big releases at $50, and, chances are, your game doesn't offer something better than Nitnendo's, so you better not go over $50 and expect to sell anything (unless your giving more than just a game, as with GH3).
Then the same applies to Sony and MS with their $60 games, once again, with the exception of a few games.
Either way, thank goodness Nintendo is keeping game prices low. No matter t...
You're really limiting yourself if yuo look only at one review. You're going to end up missing some great games and buying some medicore games like that.
I don't see why you would discount this review, anyway. 8/10 isn't bad. It's not the kind of score that doesn't make you want to buy a game. It's getting good scores all over.
However, looking only at one reviewer, you're going to get the wrong idea about games sometimes.
Another surfer girl so another time for my rumors that are just as crediable as her's.
EA has baught MS, Nintendo, and Sony and has stopped the production of the 360, Wii, and PS3, and, now, they are producing the SNES again, which is easier for them to make games for. The FF7 remake is comming...to the console MS makes after the 360. Capcom has dropped all current projects and now decided to go into making toasters.
Yup, I like this. I'm going to make up stuf...
I would need more incentive to pick up a PS3 or 360, because, right now, neither system has much that I want while Nintendo is getting almost everything I'm looking forward to.
RE5 is one of those things I would want (RE is one of the few shooters I enjoy!) However, there is no way in the world I could go back to the old aiming system.
We can still hope, though. Capcom could pull a MH3 for it, yet! Hopefully RE:UC sells well enough that it will be considered. ...
